Joule Island Finale – A Sustainable Success!
What an incredible finish to our Year 8 Joule Island challenge!
Our Year 8 students have been hard at work creating their very own Joule Islands! Using recycled materials, they designed and built imaginative island models to showcase different renewable energy sources while highlighting the importance of recycling and reducing waste.
The creativity on display was incredible, with students carefully thinking about how to make their designs both sustainable and visually engaging. To complete the project, each group also delivered an oral presentation, confidently explaining their ideas and the environmental impact of their designs.
A huge well done to all of Year 8 for getting involved and making the experience such a success – you should all be very proud of yourselves!
A special mention to our overall winners from 8D - Anna, Annie, and Sophie - the judge was particularly impressed with their range of renewable energy resources, confident presentation, and scientific knowledge.
A sincere thank you to Mannok for their generous sponsorship of the prize.

Thomas delivered a fascinating and engaging session, helping students understand:
• Bee lifecycles and social interactions
• Adaptations of Bees
• Why bees are so important for pollination and food production
• How biodiversity supports healthy ecosystems
Our students were enthusiastic and curious, asking great questions and gaining a deeper appreciation for the natural world around them.
A huge thank you to Thomas and Mannok for supporting our young learners and helping to inspire future environmental champions!

Congratulations to our Year 9 Gaelic footballers who competed in the recent PPS Fermanagh Blitz in Lissan.
The girls showed incredible skill and determination during the group stages, to reach the Semi Final of the Cup. In a unique occasion Team A and Team B went head-to-head in a fantastic display of football. While there could only be one winner, all girls showed great passion, and should be proud of their performance.
Team A progressed to the final where they played a closely contested match against St Kevins A, winning by a point in the end up. We are extremely proud of their achievement and we would like to thank Fermanagh GAA for organising a wonderful event! 🟣🟢
