The pupils, staff and Board of Governors of St. Patrick’s Primary School, Mullanaskea extend our deepest sympathy to the community of St. Oliver Plunkett’s, Beragh, on the sudden passing of their Principal, Barry Conroy.
Our staff members, Mrs O’Connor and Mrs McVitty, had the privilege of working closely with Barry for many years through the British Council’s Connecting Classrooms project, travelling to Nepal and welcoming our colleagues from Nepal to our schools and local areas. Barry embodied the values of a Catholic school leader - gentle, kind and deeply committed to education. His warmth, enthusiasm and dedication enriched the lives of pupils and colleagues alike.
We give thanks for his friendship and leadership, and we hold his family, friends, pupils, staff, and the wider Beragh community in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
