"Guys! Get your hands in, this is all your hard work!" (Ms Ali, during the potato harvest)
We're all starting to see the difference between last year and this year, and it's amazing. Everyone agrees that having more plants and growing our own vegetables has brought so much happiness, pride, and a real sense of achievement. π

Freshly harvested garlic from Rowan Class at Merryhills! π§π±
Today, the children harvested beautiful garlic, learned how to clean it properly, and showed off their fantastic braiding skills. Well done, Rowan Class!
We will plant more garlic in September! It's so rewarding and easy to grow.

When a school allotment is looking better than your own allotment... that doesn't happen very often! π±π
Everything is thriving at the moment, and the Willow Class had a lovely afternoon enjoying the fruits of their hard work. They picked flowers, cherries and strawberries, then got stuck into creating a new flower bed and planting a willow tree that will provide beautiful stems for weaving in the years to come.

Rainy days are perfect for pottering around at school and painting stones. I love the ideas about mental wellbeing that children express through their artwork on the wall. "Remember to have a giggle and a wiggle"

Weβre happy to report that everything survived... and some plants seem to have enjoyed it a little too much! π±π
A huge shout-out to the wonderful caretaker of LPS for keeping everything watered and happy while school was out. π
And just look at the harvest already! ππ₯¬πΏ We might need bigger baskets at this rate!
