Huge thanks to our PA for putting on our glow walk on Friday! ๐ŸŒŸ
It was such a unique idea and a lot goes into organising these types of events.
Thanks to everyone who came on the evening, to everyone who sold lines, to everyone who donated money and raffle prizes! ๐Ÿ’ถ๐Ÿ’ถ
It was a massive success!!

What a bitter sweet day it was for our boys and girls today! Unfortunately they were unsuccessful in beating Carnaross but they are still champions to us and to everyone else in the Killyon Community. ๐Ÿ’šโค๏ธ
They came back from being 11 points behind, and ended up missing out by only 1 point which is a very bitter pill to swallow, especially when they were by far the better team as the game progressed! Their determination to win and their resilience is something that should be praised! They really pushed through and battled all the way to the end. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป
Unfortunately the prayers on the bus werenโ€™t enough! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
This morning before we headed off, David Mitchell came in and presented the children with some half zips which were sponsored by himself and Susan Mitchell. We would like to say a massive thanks to them for looking after the team. They were absolutely chuffed with themselves this morning and they really looked the part heading off. If there was a cup for best dressed we definitely would didnโ€™t havr won it!
Thanks to David and Michelle for supporting the boys and girls on the sideline today too. There were times the 3 of us nearly got sent off for getting a bit animated but we managed to reign ourselves in! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
The biggest thanks goes to the boys and girls! They had an excellent attitude all the way through the competition and they had their eyes on the prize! If they carry this mindset with them throughout the next few years of their lives they will do great things! โญ๏ธ
We had our medal presentation when we got back to school and a party in the hall with the whole school including some treats for everyone! We had to make a big deal of our champions! Getting to a final is no small feat! They should be so proud of themselves!!! ๐Ÿ’šโค๏ธ
Thanks to the staff in Killyon for organising decorations for the school and for supervising the children on the sideline! These children should also be acknowledged for their wonderful behaviour and they were praised by everyone! It was lovely to have them there cheering on the team!!!! ๐Ÿ“ฃ
Up Killyon!!! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

Best of luck to the hurling team who take on Carnaross tomorrow at 12:30pm at Trim GAA.
These boys and girls have worked so hard - theyโ€™ve played hard, trained hard. Theyโ€™ve supported and encouraged one another.
They have been undefeated in this competition and they have the drive and positive mentality to come home with the cup tomorrow! ๐Ÿ†
Regardless, they are absolute champions to us! Even getting to a final after years of trying is a massive achievement! ๐Ÿ˜Š
We hope to see as many supporters there as possible tomorrow! The whole school is going to be behind them, cheering them on!!! ๐Ÿ“ฃ
Huge thanks to David Mitchell for the support he has shown the team this year! His commitment to their success has been incredible and it was great to have someone with some expertise working with us! Also massive thanks to Michelle Brady who came to our last training session to do some meditation and visualisation with the children, as per their request! They left training with the image of them being champions running through their heads! ๐Ÿฅ‡
So letโ€™s give it everything weโ€™ve got tomorrow and letโ€™s bring that cup home to Killyon, where it deserves to be!!!! ๐Ÿ’šโค๏ธ
Up Killyon!!!! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

What a fabulous day today was! Scorching temperatures and good vibes! Massive thanks to Lisa Brady for dropping in some ice-pops for all of the boys and girls. There were smiles all round and they were just what we needed in order to cool off!! โ„๏ธ๐ŸงŠ๐Ÿฅถโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ•ถ๏ธ

Congratulations to the boys and girls in 2nd Class who made their First Holy Communion last weekend. Although they didnโ€™t get the weather of this weekend, they all still had a wonderful day and had smiles on their faces throughout.
Well done to the children, they worked so hard practicing their readings, learning their actions and prayers and figuring out when to stand up or kneel. They were very well prepared and they were confident on the day. ๐Ÿ™๐ŸงŽโ€โ™‚๏ธโ€โžก๏ธ๐ŸงŽโ€โ™€๏ธโ€โžก๏ธ
Massive thanks to their classmates who came to support them in the church, it was lovely for them to have the support of their peers! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป
Thanks to the choir, who came suited and booted on a Saturday and performed their hearts out for the congregation. They sang beautifully. Thanks to Mr. Boardman, Colm Hennessy and ร‰anna Greene who prepared them for the ceremony. Thanks to the 3rd to 6th Class teachers who were extremely flexible during all the choir disruptions and have been delighted to hear that each child received 4 homework passes for taking part!!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽน๐ŸŽค๐ŸŽต
Thanks to Fr. Louis for a lovely ceremony and for including all of the children as much as possible. Thanks to Colette too for helping us with our preparations. ๐Ÿ’
The children went back to the school afterwards and there was a party in the hall which was run by the PA and the parents of the 1st Class children. The hall was decorated beautifully and there were special boxes made for all of the children in 2nd Class. Huge thanks to anyone who baked goods on the day, there was plenty to go around and everyone left with happy tummies. ๐Ÿง๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฅฎ
Overall, the day was a massive success but it wouldnโ€™t be possible with the support given to these 6 children at home. Thanks to you, the parents, for preparing them for this sacrament and supporting them as they learned prayers, responses and readings over the past few months. โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ’’
