Our Principal, Zoe Thompson had the opportunity to speak on BBC Radio 4 this week on the topic regarding national teacher strikes and the impact on students and life.

Peter Kellner OBE is a renowned journalist, broadcaster and co-founder of polling company YouGov. He came to provide 6 life lessons from his own life experiences and stressed the importance of engaging with democracy by using your vote wisely. 

Yr 12 student Abdul-karim interviewed a panel of reps from 2 leading apprenticeship providers. Amy Packer from the Arc Group and Justin Bennett from Institute of the Motor Industry were quizzed on everything apprenticeships. The session was highly informative for the students

Four staff members from Oasis Hadley are volunteering to go to Uganda in February 2023. Their visit will be based around developing ideas on how to teach in a setting with limited resources, offering teacher training, collaboration and professional mentoring.

They aim to raise in excess of £10k which will contribute directly to Oasis Musoto and will help to bring more students in the classroom, alleviate the pervasive financial strains of COVID and allow the school to access essential educational resources. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/oasis-hadley All donations will be greatly appreciated. £5.00 can educate a child for six weeks!!!

Our new Y12 Psychology class with their record GCSE Psychology results. 50% of the class achieved a grade 9. We are so proud of them and look forward to their Sixth Form success.
