Today is our last of our 10 days posting on the Queen ad her remarkable life.
We thought we would finish with a quote she shared in 2016 -
'To be inspirational you don't have to save lives or win medals.
'I often draw strength from meeting ordinary people doing extraordinary things: volunteers, carers, community organisers and good neighbours; unsung heroes whose quiet dedication makes them special.
'They are an inspiration to those who know them.'
Tomorrow will be a day to celebrate her wonderful life and her contribution not just to British Society but to the world.

In 2011 the Queens grandson Prince William married Kate. This was a great national celebration and we didn't wait long for another Royal event.
The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee—the 60th anniversary of her accession to the throne—was celebrated in 2012 and history was made in September 2015 when she overtook Queen Victoria to become Britain’s longest-reigning monarch. Describing the accolade as “not one to which I have ever aspired,” the Queen also made the matter-of-fact point that “a long life can pass by many milestones.”

The queen was very close to her mother.
On August 4th 2000, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, celebrated her 100th birthday. She was the first member of the royal family to reach this milestone.
She sent her card that the Queen sends to all centenarians, however, this one was handwritten and was signed “Lillibet”, the pet name that Queen Elizabeth had as a child.
