Saplings Childminding Ely At Saplings Childminding I care for children from birth to 11yrs old within my family home.

I am registered with Ofsted and have insurance and first aid training. My style of learning is child-led and based on outdoor play and creative imagination play.

After 11yrs of childminding, I am closing my business on Thursday 2nd September and joining the world of the employed again. I am not sad, I fell accidently into this business and I have loved every minute of it. I have been privileged to look after some amazing children and watch them grow from babies and toddlers until they leave my care and start their journeys at secondary school. But now my own children who have loved having me around and a house full of friends are also growing older, they can walk themselves to school and Felicity will need peace and quiet to do her homework and study; Stanley following shortly behind her. Covid has also taken it's toll on my business, with more people working from home my services are less in demand and my earnings have taken a massive hit in the past year. So when the opportunity arose, I took it and I'm now excitedly looking forward to new beginnings, learning new skills, job stability and growing with my families needs.

I am thankful for all your support, for your trusting me with your most treasured possessions and letting me become a part of their lives. I have so many memories that make me smile every day and I hope you will all have too.

Exciting Bean update 🌱 learning new vocabulary 'beans', 'roots', 'stalks', 'leaves'. Learning about the world around us, understanding what the beans need to grow such as sunshine and water. And most importantly enjoying indulging in imaginative play, will they grow to the sky? Is there a giants house in the clouds? Will we get some gold coins?
