Another week done

Closer to the goal.

Really starting to tighten things up and discipline certainly on the up!

A much better week this week!

4 sessions done ✅
2000 cals cardio done ✅
Calorie target hit ✅
Protein target hit ✅
Step goal hit ✅

Another week to tighten up and aim to get to low 78 / high 77 by then end of the week 💪

Underestimated how difficult this second prep would be. Thought it would be a breeze but that’s what failure can be about, learning lessons for the future. Still plenty of time to really pull this out the bag 💪

Photoshoot number 2….prep fully underway

I should be further on than where I am, it’s all lessons for the future but excited to put the work in and see what I am capable of in the next 8-9 weeks!

Aim is to get to 72kg so let’s see what I can do!

Weekly updates and waaaaay more content this time coming your way! 👌🏻

Another highly successful weekend down BD Gym

This is my 4th year, going into my 5th next year and the relevance and importance of these weekends become more prevalent every trip.

Dont get me wrong, the weekend isn’t for the faint hearted, it is hard, we are pushed really hard but failure and mistakes and the struggle is what makes me a difference coach to years ago.

Precision and accuracy, from coaching, to everyday life. Being more precise and striving for excellence and being different to the bare normal of the industry.

A lot of people are looking to AI for help these days with programming and adaptations. What AI doesn’t give you is the hands on experience of feeling and seeing the benefit of in person.

We covered over 300 exercises and variations this weekend, from the simple to the complex. That isn’t a typo, more than 300 ways to help my clients improve their health.

We were pushed out of our comfort zones to coach In front of our peers and present which is daunting but a humbling lesson and one to make me a better coach for the future.

Hands down wouldn’t be the coach I am today without travelling down to Bath every 8 weeks, not only a better coach but individual growing in himself too.

Care, experience and true coaching will always outweigh what a program online can give you.

The group is outstanding and really supportive and having that network is like its weight in gold too.

A big 8 weeks of work to do to finish out the mentorship year strong 💪

Thanks again Tom and Karen.

THE RESULT OF 16 WEEKS OF HARD WORK

1kg of fat loss a week.

4-5 training sessions weekly. 12-15k steps daily.

4am wake up calls to train or get steps in to 9pm walks in the rain.

An all-inclusive Carribean Cruise for a week.

From feeling deflated, unhappy and unenergised to confident, strong and really happy.

Feeling like a completely different person and I have said to myself a few times, “why did you let yourself get like that?” But without that moment back at the end of January I wouldn’t appreciate where I am now and also how much we can let things go.

This didn’t go all plain sailing, I had 3 weeks at maintenance calories after my cruise, I had a few days of eating 5 chocolate bars in 3 minutes and everything in between.

But what has managed to remain was my willingness to learn from those mishaps, those mistakes happening brought about awareness to my goal and the fact that life can get in the way, we can get in the way of our own progress too. Those mistakes were far and few!

This also highlighted that one day of higher calories or of indulgence won’t ruin your progress but multiple days/weeks can.

It also showed me that there can be balance with this, but first sacrifices must be made.

There is always ongoing discussions that people require balance…..I would argue I had too much balance and that showed on the scales and on my mood and energy.

What you can do in 16 weeks is achievable if you set yourself up for success and admit you need help, accountability and structure.

Calling myself out on Instagram was the best thing I could have done, it held me accountable to every single person following along, to my mentor Tom and to all my fellow coaches who I didn’t want to let down either.

But I wanted to make myself proud, my boy proud and not only talk the talk but walk the walk! To lead from the front and be a role model to others, hoping that has been achieved! 🫡

Some more posts coming next week on how I went about this, stay tuned ✌🏻 Beyond grateful to for supporting me through this and my boy ❤️

Into peak week

Start of the week weighing in at 76kg which is crazy to think 18-20 weeks ago I started at 94.1kg on this goal.

Really enjoying the last few weeks of training, being in a deficit and pushing the boundaries of what I thought was possible for myself.

Many fake tan testing, veeting the whole body( do not recommend) and some posing and we are into peak week.

Carbs increasing this week to see how much I can tolerate to look in the best position come Friday!

Was anxious I wasn’t going to be lean enough, not sure that will go away until the weekend but still 100% in a better position than I was in January.

Training calming down this week, carbs and water up and trying to keep stress and cortisol low.

Roll on the weekend 💪

Excuse the photo stills, I think I was up at 4am 🤣

Excited to see the progress everyone else has made!

Diet and Physique update

Can’t believe I am a week and a bit away from the weekend that all the hard work and effort has been built up for.

I think it was 17 weeks ago I made the decision to call myself out and hold myself accountable by announcing the shoot on my Instagram.

I did that so that I had that accountability to follow through with my actions.

There were too many people I would be letting down by not following through, myself being the biggest reason.

I am proud of the effort I have put in and I am looking forward to seeing the progress, the hard work and dedication to the process and the photos taken from an actual photographer.

It certainly hasn’t been easy but also not been impossibly difficult either.

94.1kg down to currently 77.8kg with the aim of getting to 77kg by next Friday.

Accountability is such a huge asset to lean into whether that’s with a coach, friends and family or to the internet world.

Learning to be okay saying no more often, sacrificing for a period and feeling and seeing the physical and mental benefits can stand you in such good stead for your future health.

Some will say I look unhealthy but this is the best I have ever felt and I am looking forward to this year of more hard work and the next stages of this 👌🏻

If you need help with accountability, structure and a proven process then reach out, it might just be the best thing you can do for yourself this year 💪

Physique update

Now on around week 15 of dieting.

Weight of that man on the left 94.1kg at the end of January.

Weight of that man on the right 78.2kg yesterday.

Really pleased with how things are looking with just over two weeks left to go until the shoot.

Still lots of work to be done and the final stretch is near.

Food has been excellent and calorie control has been spot on this past week and a bit, no more complacency and putting my all in for the next two weeks.

Unfortunately knee has taken a big set back and feel like I am back at square one but just got to rebuild again.

Upper sessions going very well with huge improvements week on week.

Spray tan test tomorrow to see hoe things are looking and what shade to go for and then it’s just doing the basics well until the end of May 💪

Another 2kg off would be lovely but will settle for 1.5kg and see what condition that brings me to 👌🏻

Two more weekly check ins and then the plan for afterwards begins 👍

Thoroughly enjoying this process, don’t get me wrong, it’s been hard and lacking the B12 has been a slog this week but pleased with my determination to still get it done.

The physique update

Normality will resume next week with video and voiceover 👌🏻

Things are ticking along nicely, hit a new low of 79.2kg this week and starting to see more visual changes, more muscle definition and more veins coming out too 👍

Calories are aiming just now for 1800 and protein between 160-180g daily.

Creatine up feeling in a good spot too!

Training has felt really good, not seeing any dip in strength so don’t always believe what you read on the internet, my lifts are getting better and feeling much stronger 💪

Keep chipping away and looking forward to seeing how much more fat I can take off before the shoot 4 weeks Friday 💪

The best condition I have been in since visiting Tom down at body development and much more to come 👌🏻

Photoshoot update

After a week all inclusive on a cruise ship I was expecting to be slightly heavier in bodyweight.

The plan wasn’t to go massively above where I left, being mindful but still enjoying the odd drink here or there and some delicious Carribean foods along the way too but delighted to be down a kilo this last week!

Plan this week is get some movement back in and get over the jet lag as quickly as possible.

Recovery and sleep will be high on the agenda and also get back to frequent steps and some structure and routine which I am craving!

I kept steps high whilst away, I train 6/7 days in the gym for a minimum of 45 minutes. I ate high protein breakfast and lunch and limited calories so I could enjoy my evening meal with a few drinks.

Didn’t miss out on anything, enjoyed lovely food and get some family time with mum along the way. I didn’t go crazy on the booze and got to see some beautiful islands of the world too!

Big push now for the next 6 weeks to see where I can be with my physique 💪
