For the final portion of our practical based work, the year ten students set out to independently create a healthy, balanced meal of their choice, with the prompt of "colourful." They used beef steak as their base protein which complemented some fantastic ideas, ranging from a steak and egg salad, and a warm mediterranean vegetable steak and lentil salad, topped with pomegranates! A fantastic effort in communication and personal development for all the students involved.

As a school, we are co-linked with Tesco to support and enhance students learning and wellbeing. Thanks to this collaboration, 80% of our ingredients were provided through this plan. We are extremely thankful for the support given, and I personally look forward to seeing what other creative ways that the King's Trust classes can utilise this opportunity!

Fantastic work from you all 🙂

Well done to our Year 7 and Year 9 netball squads, who welcomed St Martin's to the courts this week

Our Year 7 team made an outstanding start to their competitive netball journey, securing an impressive 8-0 victory.

The Year 9 squad also put in a fantastic performance. Although the result did not go their way, they demonstrated great determination and teamwork throughout the match.

What was particularly pleasing, however, were the comments from the St Martin's staff, who praised our girls for their excellent attitude, behaviour and respect. They remarked on how the players had been a credit to themselves, their families and Lakelands.

A special mention goes to Connie (Year 7) and Chloe (Year 9), who were both selected as the opposition's Players of the Match.

Congratulations also to Ruby (Year 9), who made her debut representing Lakelands in school sport and to Maisie (Year 11) and Katarina (Year 10) who were also complimented on their umpiring.

Well done to all involved! 👏👏👏💙🩵

Publication Day!
Today saw the launch of our very first edition of 'The Lakelander', our brand new student newspaper!

Created by students, for students, this newspaper is full of their stories, their ideas and their voices. This afternoon, copies have been distributed around school and it's been great to see so many people reading it!

A huge well done to all the student journalists involved in making this first edition happen. There are some fantastic stories in it, and they should all be very proud of their contributions. 📰📰

Well done to our fantastic U13 and U15 netball squads who competed at the North Shropshire netball tournament, held at the Marches school yesterday afternoon.

The girls were exceptional throughout the tournament, displaying exemplary behaviour, fantastic sportsmanship and real class while proudly representing the Lakelands values.
Special recognition must go to Hattie, who finished the day in style with four quick goals in the final match!👏👏👏👏
