Position available at Ellesmere Ducklings Pre-school.

2 terms Spring/Summer 26 - Starting date 6th January 2026.

The job role would be a 1-1 position working with a little girl on the Autistic spectrum.

30 hours 1-1 support.

Hours would be 9 - 3, 5 days per week term time only.

Enhanced DBS essential.

SEN experience preferable.

£12.50 per hour.

Hi everyone,

Here are some updates for you all -

✨ The final Ofsted inspection report has arrived this week and is now live online for everyone to read and celebrate. We are so happy to report that we are now back to where we have always been and now have a judgement of GOOD!✨

Thank you all for your support over the last 6 months 😊

Secondly thanks to the kind financial donations from organisations in the community we were able to have our roof fully replaced over May half term and will now be watertight for many happy years to come! 🏠

Lastly very very sad news, after 21yrs as part of the Ducklings family Dawn has decided it's time to hang up her craft pinny, den making skills and comforting cuddles to name a few of her super qualities! She will be leaving us at the end of this term 😔 We thank her for everything ❤️

Ellesmere Ducklings is a community Pre-school within the grounds of Ellesmere Primary school.

We are looking for a new member of staff to join our fantastic team and to work alongside our current manager, as a Play leader with opportunities to take on more responsibilities.

Qualifications required -

- NVQ level 3 in Childcare and Education
- Paediatric first aid (to be completed within 3 months of employment)
- Enhanced DBS
- SENCO preferable but not essential
- Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given

Working hours are Monday - Friday 8.30 - 3.30 (35 hours) per week. Term time only. Rate of pay £12.45 per hour.

Hello everyone. We wondered if there was anyone that would very kindly be able to donate some roof felt to be able to repair our children's Wendy house in the garden 🙏 We are looking for enough to cover the centre piece of the house. We would be ever so grateful ♥️

Due to increasing numbers and children taking on more sessions..Ducklings will potentially be looking for a temporary member of staff to cover the spring and summer term starting from January and the post would end in July, this person would need to be flexible and a childcare qualification would be preferable but not essential and a DBS check would need to be done. Due to this being a temporary and flexible post we are just seeing if there would be anyone that this role would be suitable for. Please contact us if you feel this is you. Many thanks.

Morning everyone thankyou for bearing with us through our "no water" situation over the past few days 😘 and sorry we missed seeing a few little ducklings friends leaving.
But our last school day has finally arrived 😭 we want to wish all of our ducklings lots of luck in their next learning adventure it's been lovely having you all, and were very glad you chose Ellesmere Ducklings as your first learning journey setting ❤ we hope you all enjoy your summer holidays.

❤EXCITING BABY NEWS❤ will be coming 'hopefully' in August, so today is Christie's last day at Ducklings we will miss her lots but want to send her lots of love & luck and cant wait for some very exciting baby news xx
