Situated in the countryside, at Ark we provide a homely environment to give support to every family on their learning journey 😊

We provide flexible childcare to the highest possible standards within the rules and regulations of the Education Service and the Care Inspectorate. You choose the sessions and hours you need and we do the rest. We have written Policies and Procedures that cover all aspects of our care, so that you know how we do things. We update all our policies regularly. Our staff are not just qualified to Nat

ional Care Standards - we select them for their experience as well as their warmth and friendliness. We also provide continual training and development for all our staff so that we benefit from the latest in national childcare practices and everyone achieves personal development. OPEN ALL YEAR
Unlike other nurseries and childcare providers, we open all year round. Closing only the 25th, 26th December and the 1st and 2nd January. We open at 7am and close at 7pm, Monday to Friday. Possible Saturday opening dependent on demand.

Here at Ark, we are dedicated to helping children understand their rights. We display these posters throughout our building and support children through everyday conversations and learning opportunities. For example, we talk about rights such as, “You have the right to healthy food." You have the right to learn"
To support us and your child’s learning, we would really appreciate it if you could continue having similar conversations at home. Please feel free to share these conversations with us — we love hearing about the children’s thoughts and ideas.☺️

We had the most fantastic time exploring the brand new STEM Centre at Elgin Library today🌟

What an incredible space for our little learners. The centre is packed with hands-on resources that spark curiosity, encourage problem-solving, and allow the children to explore, experiment and discover in their own way. From building and creating to investigating how things work, every corner invites imagination and critical thinking. 🔬🥼

It was wonderful to see the children so engaged — asking questions, working together, and proudly sharing their discoveries. Experiences like this help nurture confidence, creativity and a real love of learning.

We’re so lucky to have such an inspiring space right here in our community. A big thank you to the manager Kirsty for inviting us and we definitely can’t wait to visit again! ✨

🎄 Merry Christmas from all of us at ARK CHILDCARE 🌈🖍️

The last couple of weeks have been filled with festive magic — Christmas dinners, parties with dancing feet, lots of giggles, sparkles, glitters, and very happy little faces. The children truly had the best time, and watching them soak up every magical moment has been the highlight of our season ❤️

Now it’s time for us all to slow down, switch off the alarms, and enjoy two whole weeks of precious family time — cuddles, chaos, and everything in between.

We also want to say a huge thank you to every single person who helped us raise an incredible £1,174.30 for MFR Mission Christmas. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together.

What an incredible day! We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along, donated, bought tickets, baked, crafted, helped, and supported our MFR Mission Christmas fundraiser. A special thank you also to all the businesses that have donated prizes: Edinburgh Zoo, The Glen of Rothes Trout Fishery, Johnstons of Elgin, Mackenzie & Cruickshank Forres, Elgin City FC Community Football, Moray Monkeys Soft Play Hire, Moray Hog Roast Company, Identity Hair and Beauty Studio, Baxters UK, Olivia Salway Brows, nails and make up.

Thanks to your generosity and festive spirit, we’ve already raised over £1,000! 🎉🎄
We’re just waiting for the last few donations to come in, and then we’ll share the exact final total — but we couldn’t wait to celebrate this amazing milestone with you all.

Your support means so much to us and will make a real difference to children in our local community this Christmas. ❤️

We’ve drawn the raffle and we’re just in the process of typing up all the winners: the list will be posted tomorrow morning, keep an eye out and just pop into the office if you need to collect any prize! 🏆
