Thursday afternoon was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the end of another successful year! 🎉🏆

Our End of Year Awards Assembly is a key event in the school calendar and it was filled with smiles, applause and well-deserved recognition as we celebrated the incredible achievements, effort and progress of our pupils. From academic success, amazing attendance and sporting achievements to resilience, kindness and determination, every award reflected the hard work and positive attitudes shown throughout the year.

We are so proud of all our pupils and would like to thank our staff, families and wider school community for their continued support. Congratulations to all our award winners and to every child who has contributed to making this year such a memorable one.

🌞 SUMMER FAIR – Monday 13th July 2-4pm🌞

We are excited to share that our School Summer Fair will be taking place on Monday 13th July, kickstarting a week of events on the final week of the school year! 🎉

This event is a great opportunity for our school community to come together for some fun, while also raising funds for our school which provides opportunities for our pupils and supporting the purchase of equipment.

There will be a range of activities, games, and treats for everyone to enjoy – we hope to see as many families there as possible, so we hope you keep the date free in your diary!

⚽ It’s Coming Home & it is Hot Weather! ☀️

With England through to the World Cup semi-final and taking on Argentina on Wednesday at 8:00pm, we’re getting behind the team! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

On Wednesday, children are welcome to come to school wearing:

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿An England shirt or kit
⚽️Any football shirt or kit
❤️England colours (red and white)

As another warm week is forecast, children may also come to school in their official school PE kit on the other days of the week to help them stay cool and comfortable.

Please note that unofficial PE kits are not permitted. However, children may wear trainers throughout the week instead of school shoes if they wish.

Tuesday remains outdoor afternoon for Coniston, Derwent & Ennerdale Class and Escape Education for Ullswater Class, so PE kits remain acceptable but a long sleeve top and pants are preferred for Escape Education 🌳

Thursday is our End of Year Awards Assembly which we hope to see lots of you join us for to celebrate all the achievements of 2025-2026 🏆⭐️

🌟 Year 6 Residential to London – What an Amazing Adventure! 🌟

Our Year 6 pupils have returned from a truly unforgettable residential trip to London, packed with exciting experiences, learning opportunities and wonderful memories.

Over the course of the trip, the children explored some of the capital’s most famous landmarks and attractions, including the fascinating Science Museum, the historic Tower of London, Parliament, and the magnificent Westminster Abbey. They also enjoyed a Uber Thames Clipper boat ride along the River Thames, taking in London's iconic sights from the water.
One of the highlights was soaring above the city on the London Eye, offering spectacular views across the skyline and another was a fantastic performance of The Lion King in the West End, which left everyone amazed by the incredible music, costumes and talent on stage 🦁

Throughout the visit, our pupils were a credit to the school. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, excellent behaviour and positive attitudes made us incredibly proud.

The trip was a great success and we are sure the memories made, friendships strengthened and experiences gained will stay with our Year 6 children for many years to come.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽️ ENGLAND v MEXICO – MATCH REPLAY IN SCHOOL ⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

We know many of our children will be excited for England's World Cup match, but with the 1.00am kick-off, we also know many will be tucked up in bed! 💤

To make sure everyone can still enjoy the excitement while arriving at school bright-eyed, we'll be 📺 showing a special replay in the school hall from 9.00am on Monday 6th July.

We just ask for your help with two things:

💤 support your child to have a good nights sleep.
🤫 keep the result a secret so all of the children can experience the excitement of watching it together.

There will be alternative activities for those children who’d prefer not to watch the game 🎨

Football tops, red or white tops or PE kits can be worn 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

🏆 Sports Day 2026 Champions! 🏆

For two consecutive years the Yellow Team were the winners of Sports Day – a fantastic achievement! 💛👏🏻

A big thank you to the children for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and determination throughout the afternoon. It was wonderful to see so much encouragement and support for one another, creating a wonderful atmosphere.

We also appreciate all the support from parents – your encouragement helps make these events so special to be involved in.

It was a brilliant afternoon of sport, positivity, and team spirit. Well done to everyone involved, family & friends who came to support and those who volunteered their time to help ensure the event was successful 👏🏻🌟
