Rainbow School of Dance

Rainbow School of Dance Classes are provided by fully qualified and registered teachers of Associated Board of Dance. Venessa is also an examiner & fellowship member of ABD.

Providing classes in Ballet,Tap, Modern, Acrobatics and Musical Theatre grades from Prep to advanced levels in Associated Board of Dance (ABD) for pupils aged 3 years to adult. Venessa Chapman is a freelance choreographer, resident choreographer of The Millennium Forum, Derry & The Belfry Country Inn. She started her career as a Professional dancer but has been running the Rainbow School of Dance

for over 30 years! Students regularly attend festivals and competitions in the UK. Rainbow School of Dance school will be taking place on the 15th May 2013

The curtain has finally come down on our youth production of Evita—and what an absolutely fabulous show it was!
The talented girls from Rainbow School showed that all their hard work and training truly paid off. They showcased incredible talent, delivering performances and dance routines of a truly professional standard.
A special mention goes to my daughter, Leigh, whose choreography was outstanding. She poured so much creativity, dedication, and passion into the production, and it showed in every number. I couldn't be prouder of everything she achieved.
Congratulations to the entire cast, crew, and everyone involved in making this production such a memorable success. ! 👏🌟

Wishing the entire cast and production team of Evita the very best of luck for opening night at the Millennium Theatre, running from Wednesday 29 July to Saturday 1 August.
A very special mention to my daughter, Leigh, whose wonderful choreography will be bringing the production to life.
Best wishes also to the Rainbow School members Freya Cummings, Francesca Kelly, and Lily-May Tolley, along with former members Rosie Maguire and Clara Clements. I'm especially delighted that Clara has the role of Mistress in the show.

So proud of my granddaughter, Freya Cummings! ❤️
She has just completed a fantastic two-day workshop with Ryan Jenkins, covering ballet, modern, contemporary, and singing.
At the end of the workshop, each judge chose their favourite performer of the day, and Kerry Ellis—who famously played Elphaba in Wicked—chose Freya! What an incredible honour to receive such a special award from someone so talented.
To make the day even more memorable, Disney photographers were there and took Freya's photograph. She was truly noticed for her talent, dedication, and hard work.
Well done, Freya! We are all so proud of you. 🌟✨

A very proud day for Cilian . ❤️
He was on set from 8:30am until 2:30pm with the Ardmore production company, and what a fantastic day it was. He worked tirelessly, doing take after take, as well as still photographs, and gave his all from start to finish.
He was a pleasure to watch, working alongside director Chris Lyttle, the wardrobe and dressing team, and the other talented actors on set. It was a long day, but he never complained once and stayed focused and professional throughout.
We're incredibly proud of you, Cilian.. Well done! ❤️👏✨ x

What a fantastic night at Lush Classical on 13 June at Custom House Square!
The lineup was incredible, featuring vocalists Dylan Reid (my son), Jolene O’Hara, Phillipa O’Hara, Maria Nayler, and Lovely Laura on saxophone, with DJ Chicane. The event was led by Col Hamilton and the magnificent Ulster Orchestra, creating an unforgettable evening of music and entertainment.
The atmosphere was amazing,. Due to its huge success, another date has now been arranged for 8 August.
I am so proud of Dylan and all that he has achieved. It was truly a wonderful night and a brilliant showcase of talent.

What an incredible weekend for Rainbow School of Dance! 🌈✨
Our dancers performed an amazing 154 solos, along with 9 duets, 1 trio, and 6 troupe routines at the Midland Dance Festival in Mullingar 2026 After two full days of competition across Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Ballet, Song & Dance, and Musical Theatre, every single performer was outstanding.
A special thank you to adjudicator Lisa Hart for her time and expertise, and to all our wonderful parents for their continued support—it truly means so much.
The costumes and overall presentation were absolutely pristine, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved. 💫
