Spread kindness and it’ll come back to you 🤍
Some lovely neighbours went out of their way to find our contact details to thank us for the biscuits we posted last week.
We also received a very beautiful thank you card from another family.
This is why Random Acts of Kindness day is our favourite, we love to spread cheer! 🤍

Random Acts of Kindness 2026 🤍
One of our favourite days of the year!
This year we decided to celebrate early due to half term absences next week.
The Little Lakey’s had so much fun making our special shortbread men! We weighed the ingredients together, mixed them up, rolled out the dough and pressed our cutter in with our big strong muscles. 💪
We then packaged them up together and took them for a walk around our neighbourhood. The little ones thought very carefully about which houses they’d like to leave a little treat for!

We had lots of autumn fun this week! 🍁
Making an enormous pile of gingerbread men (or, “cookie mans”) and exploring an autumn water sensory tray. 🤎
These experiences us lots of opportunity to use our words in discussions, explore different textures, understand quantities and use our senses.

The Little Lakey’s have had lots of fun exploring all things fruit this week! 🍋🍋🟩🍓
We spent some time making our own lemon and lime potions. We used spoons, scoops, spatulas and different sized pans to mix the water and fruit together to make lovely smelling concoctions!
We also planted some strawberry seeds. We each took it turns to trowel some compost into the little red bags before we sprinkled strawberry seeds on top and covered them in a cosy little compost blanket. We can’t wait to eat them in 16 weeks! 😋

Random Acts of Kindness 2025 🤍
This week the littles have been learning about kindness and we have been taking part in different activities and experiences to show kindness to each other and to people within our local community.
We went for a special walk and dropped some daffodil bunches on some doorsteps which had motivational quotes attached to them to bring some happiness to neighbours down the road.
We also discussed what we thought was kind behaviour and decided using “kind hands, kind feet” and “sharing” were things we could do within the setting to be kind to each other.
We finished off the week by giving our lovely parents a nice hot tea and some chocolate biscuits for their journey to work.
