This is the page for young & adult learners to share ideas, tips, quizzes, gossip & advice for Home Tuition students. Students find that total immersion in the English language in an English teacher's home and integration into the teacher's family life greatly benefits their English language learning and cultural fluency. Have breakfast with your teacher, followed by one-to-one lessons in the morning. Lunch with your teacher and then and go on excursions with your teacher, or join in with your teacher's family life in the afternoons and evenings.

Tim is a trained English Language teacher, he lives with his partner Caroline who is a drama writer. They have two daughters, 13 & 9 and they live in a Victorian semi-detached house with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and a garden in a quiet, well resourced residential area, 20 minutes by train from central London. Nearby there are shops, restaurants, banks, libraries, museums and sports facilities. The family are interested in all the arts - cinema, theatre, all kinds of music, visual arts, dance, opera, literature and food. There is Wi-fi internet access, and a piano for students to use. Janette is a trained English language teacher. She lives with her husband, and two daughters, aged 16 and 11. The family live in a charming 5 bedroom house with a garden in central Brighton. It is 5 minutes' walk to the train station, 10 minutes to the city centre and a walk to the beach will take you 15 minutes. Janette enjoys keeping fit by playing netball, swimming and doing yoga. Megan is a trained English language teacher, she lives with her husband, who is a finance consultant and her 16 year old daughter. The family live in a large and comfortable detached 17th century farm house, with a very large garden in the affluent village of Wadhurst in Sussex. The nearest major town is Royal Tunbridge Wells. The area has many historic buildings and castles. It's about 1 hour by train to central London. Megan is interested in reading, films, theatre, all sorts of music, art and Italian culture. Vivian is a trained English language teacher who lives with her husbsand Andrew who is a retired insurance broker. Vivian has many years experience as a reporter and transcript manager.They live in a large detached house in a large garden close to the centre of Tunbridge Wells. Alan, 52, is a trained English language teacher and a language and cross cultural consultant. He lives with his wife, 51, who is a teacher. They have a daughter aged 9. They live in a modern 5 bedroom house in the centre of a small and very affluent town, situated on the edge of the Chiltern Hills just 40Km from central London. The train journey to London is just 25 minutes. The town has many high quality restaurants and shops. Alan is a keen cyclist, squash and tennis player. He plays the piano and cello. Introducing new teacher, Gary B, Kent. Gary is a trained English language and drama teacher, he lives with his wife and three sons, 12, 10 and 7. They live in a detached house, with 5 bedrooms and a very large garden with a large lawn and play equipment. The house is situated quite close to the beach. The local area has a supermarket and small shops. 5 minutes away there is a fishing village which is famous for its fish restaurants, theatre, arts centre, museum, pubs and bars. London is 90 minutes by train and Canterbury is 15 minutes by bus. The family enjoy beach activities, swimming, visiting the theatre, and cycling.
