💻🚀 COMPUTERXPLORERS ACADEMY SESSIONS ARE BACK! ✨

Looking for a fun and engaging way for your child to build their digital skills, get creative and learn something new?

Our Academy Sessions at Itchen College give children the chance to explore the exciting world of technology through hands-on projects with our experienced instructors! 🙌

Throughout the sessions, children can:

💻 Develop basic computing skills
👾 Learn coding and computational thinking
🎮 Design and create their own games
🌐 Explore web design
🧠 Build problem-solving and creative-thinking skills
👫 Meet other children, work together and make new friends

Our sessions are designed to make learning technology fun, practical and engaging, helping children grow in confidence while developing digital skills they can continue to build on. 🚀

ONE LAST LOOK AT OUR SUMMER CAMPS! 🚀✨

Summer camp may be over, but we still had a few more brilliant moments to share! 💚

Across the summer, our ComputerXplorers have been coding, creating, building, designing and problem-solving, all while trying new things and having plenty of fun along the way!

👽Alien Mask Design — Our explorers let their imaginations run wild as they designed their own aliens, thinking about the special features they might need to survive on another planet. A fun way to develop creativity, design thinking and problem-solving skills!

🚀 Alien Survival Pods — It was time to become space engineers! Campers designed and built shelters to protect an astronaut on an unknown planet, thinking carefully about strength, stability and survival needs such as food, water and oxygen. The challenge put their planning, engineering and creative-thinking skills to the test.

💻 Micro:bit Secret Messages — Our explorers got coding with BBC micro:bits, creating secret messaging systems and sending coded messages between devices! They practised sequencing, computational thinking and problem-solving, before using what they had learned to experiment with their own messages.

🛸 Scratch & ScratchJr Space Adventures — Our explorers brought their imaginations to the screen by creating animated space stories using ScratchJr and Scratch! With activities that can be adapted for different ages and abilities, everyone could get involved at their own level. They combined coding, sequencing, logical thinking and storytelling to control their characters and bring their ideas to life.

And that wraps up an action-packed summer at ComputerXplorers! ☀️🚀

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Merdon Junior School and Swaythling Primary School. It’s been fantastic watching our explorers try new things, tackle challenges, develop new skills, build confidence, make friends and, most importantly, have fun! 💚

🌸 Another amazing week at our Easter Camps! 🐣

Week 2 has been full of creativity, teamwork, and hands-on learning. Our campers loved decorating real Easter baskets—huge thank you to Big Difference for generously donating them! 🧺💛

We also explored LEGO Spike, where children built and programmed their own Easter-themed robots, and got creative in Scratch by designing their own interactive games 🎮🤖🐰

It’s been brilliant to see everyone growing in confidence and having so much fun along the way. We can’t wait for what’s next! 🚀

🌸 What a start to our Easter Camps! 🐣

Week 1 has been packed with creativity, coding, and hands-on fun. From designing Easter baskets and 3D eggs to building in Minecraft, programming robots, and creating games in Scratch—our campers have done it all!

It’s been amazing to see their confidence grow as they explore new skills and bring their ideas to life. We can’t wait for another exciting week ahead! 🚀
