Community Outreach East Sussex
Community signposting resource aimed at 60+, their family, carers and anyone with poor health or disability in East Sussex.
This is a free independent community page that I update in my own time. There is no affilliation with any businesses, services, individuals or charities. I do not endorse or support any specific services but merely share relevant posts that I feel will contribute positively to the local community.

This infographic highlights a message we don't hear often enough:
đŁď¸ Using a mobility aid is not giving up. It's adapting.
For many people living with myelopathy, mobility aids can help reduce fatigue, improve balance, prevent falls, conserve energy and maintain independence. Whether it's a walking stick, crutch, rollator, wheelchair or scooter, these tools exist to help you do more of what matters to you.
You don't need to be "disabled enough" to use one. You don't need anyone else's permission. And you certainly don't need to wait until things become unbearable.
Some days you may walk further. Other days you may need extra support. Both are valid.
The goal isn't to prove how much you can struggle through. The goal is to live your life as safely, comfortably and independently as possible.
𧥠What mobility aid has made the biggest difference to your life, and what would you say to someone who's considering using one for the first time?

A huge shout out to the wonderful team at Marmalade Trust and their week-long campaign to raise awareness of loneliness and social isolation.
At The Chatty CafĂŠ Scheme, this is a cause very close to our hearts. Every day, in venues across the UK, we see first-hand how something as simple as a conversation can brighten someoneâs day, boost confidence, and help people feel connected again.
Loneliness can affect anyone, at any age, and no one should have to face it alone.
If youâre feeling lonely, isolated, or would simply like to meet new people for a chat, weâd love to welcome you to one of our Chatty CafĂŠ venues. Use our venue finder to find a table near you, or send us a DM with your postcode and weâll help you find your nearest location.
