The Field Shield 2026
It is with great honour that we can announce that Willow is the recipient of The Field Shield this year!
Willow is an avid runner, who has represented LPA at many levels. She has undertaken numerous leadership roles in her time at Langney and is a true role model to all children. Her determination is so strong.
Our beloved Mr Field spotted Willow's attributes many years ago and we know how proud he would be of her. We continue to celebrate Mr Field.
Mrs Mary Field came in to present the Shield to Willow and they had some lovely words together.
Well done Willow and GO TEAM LANGNEY 💙

Well that was a wonderful morning of song, humour, poetry and amazing memories.
Awards were given, speeches made and the children were phenomenal.
Not a dry eye in the house for many parents/carers and staff!

Nelson's Cup 2026 🏏
All last week, our children from Years 1-6 took part in the Nelson Victor Carter Cup. During their PE lessons, each class took part in cricket matches, scoring points for their house team that were then collected to give a whole school total.
Nelson was born in Eastbourne, took part in the First World War, and was a football coach and champion boxer, so he would have loved the team spirit and determination shown during this tournament, which bears his name!

It was a close run thing this year with just three points separating first and second, but our overall winners are - Sovereign!!!!

A huge well done to all the children and to Mr P, our chief bowler and umpire!
Roll on next year!!! 💙

Little Singers!! 🏟
Our Little Singers took to our outdoor stage on Wednesday and performed to a large audience of family and friends! The children have worked hard this term and chose to sing five of the songs they have learnt, one of which even included them singing in French!
Well done Little Singers for being brave and performing so confidently! Thank you Mrs Pickford!! 🫶

Thank you to our wonderful PTA and staff members who have given up hours to make this look Prom night look and feel EXTRA special. We really appreciate it ❤️‍🔥

Brass Band at LPA! 🎺
Our children were in for a lovely treat this afternoon as they heard from a live Brass Band in our very own playground!
Lewes Brass visited us and wowed us with tunes including Ghostbusters, Star Wars and even Football's Coming Home!
The children loved asking questions and learning about the instruments including the French Horn and Trombone.
Very aspirational and thank you Mr Avery for organising!📯
