Celebrating Sporting Success! 🏉⭐
It was wonderful to see Florence representing Eastbourne Rugby Club at a Rugby tournament in Hastings this weekend; competing against teams from East Sussex and Kent.
Miss Horn - who was there to watch her nephew - was delighted to spot Florence who shone on the pitch. Florence showed fantastic enthusiasm, determination and sporting skill throughout the tournament, demonstrating great teamwork and resilience. It was lovely to see her dedication to Rugby outside of school and celebrate her achievements beyond the classroom! 😄

Celebrating National Poetry Day at LPA ✍️✨
Today, our classrooms were filled with rhythm, rhyme, and incredible imagination as children from Years 2 to 6 dove into National Poetry Day! Writing lessons across the school were dedicated to exploring the joy of reading and creating poetry, with each year group trying their hand at something unique:
🌈 Year 2 created expressive 'Rainbow of Feelings/Objects' poems, exploring through vibrant colours.
✏️ Year 3 crafted thoughtful acrostic 'I am...' poems to showcase their unique personalities.
👾 Year 4 worked collaboratively to whip up a delightfully disgusting 'Menu for a Monster'—inspired by Michaela Morgan—focusing on brilliant alliteration!
👅 Year 5 got creative (and a little tongue-tied!) as they wrote and tested their own tricky tongue twisters.
🖤 Year 6 explored blackout poetry, carefully selecting words from existing texts to let new, striking ideas shine through.

Our young poets had an absolute blast and produced some truly amazing work! 🌟

A Love for Design Technology! 🪡
Ben was totally inspired by the Needlework & Embroidery topic last year, that he has found a brand new hobby!
He has used all of the skills and knowledge learnt to design and make soft toys at home! Mrs Wi******er (DT Leader) was thrilled to hear about the precise running and cross stitch techniques used by Ben. Well done Ben, we love your passion for textiles!! 🧸

This Girl Can!!!
We are so proud of Amelia after completing the 1.5km Spartan Kids race in Pippingford Park.
Amelia had completed Spartan Kids 2025 but that was in the younger age group, so this year was a step up in age group, obstacles and distance. Only turning 7 this month she was one of the youngest competitors.
With true LPA grit - her determination, strength and courage to complete every obstacle was amazing. She ran the whole way without stopping, compeleted all the obstacles and still had a sprint finish. Superb!! 🏆 Spartan

LPA at Eastbourne 5km! 👟
Our motto of "Active Body, Healthy MInd" was on full show this morning. Well done to all runners - children, staff and parents/carers!
In the 1 mile race, Cole came 4th overall, and Pheobe showed real determination and resilience as she had a nasty fall at the beginning of the race. GO TEAM LANGNEY!!!

LPA Start the Season with a Win! 🏆
Massive congratulations to our Year 4/Year 5 football team for their incredible performance at the Bede's football tournament! The team showed outstanding determination, teamwork and grit, walking away as Plate Final Winners!

Mr P had these words for the team: "You showed brilliant resilience today, you dug deep, supported each other, played some fantastic football and won the Plate through penalties. You made the LPA family very proud, very well done." 💙

Year 1's Big Move!
Year 1 have successfully completed their first ever move up the school!
The children have settled beautifully into their new classrooms and routines! Mrs Murphy, Mrs Sandys and Mrs White have all been so impressed with their manners, attitude towards learning and their behaviour.
We are all very excited to see what Year 1 brings for these amazing children! 😃😍
