Today we explored the books ‘God Knows All About Me’, ‘I Love My Granny’ and ‘I Love My Grandad’. 💛

Through these beautiful stories, we talked about how much God knows us and loves us; every thought, every feeling, every tiny detail that makes us who we are. We also celebrated the special people God gives us, like our wonderful grandparents, and how we can show them love in return.

The grannies and grandads in today’s stories wore glasses… so of course we had to make our own! By the end of the morning, everyone was rocking fabulous glasses and looking a little bit like Elton John! 🤣

As we craft, play and read together, we gently begin exploring faith, learning that we are known, valued and deeply loved by God, and that loving others is one of the ways we reflect that love.

A joyful morning full of love and laughter! 💕🙏🏼

🌞 Important Update for Tomorrow’s Session!

Hi everyone! Just a quick reminder that there will be NO playgroup in the church hall tomorrow.

Instead, we’ll be meeting for a lovely outdoor session from 10:30am to 12:30pm at Kingston Meadows Park, East Horsley. This will be our final session of the Summer Term and a chance to say goodbye to our little friends who are off to big school! 🎓💛

✨ Please bring a picnic for your own family so we can all sit and eat together.

Just a heads-up — I’ll be flying solo tomorrow and rushing over from my daughter’s school awards ceremony. It should finish by 10am, but if I’m a little late or flustered when you arrive, please bear with me! 😊

It’s going to be a beautiful day, and I can’t wait to see you all there. Please share this info with anyone planning to come who might not be on Facebook or in our WhatsApp group.

Our Summer Term has begun at Playgroup!

This term, we're exploring fun and meaningful stories that help little ones grow in kindness, empathy, and understanding.

We’ve been reading Noah’s Car Park Ark, a playful retelling of the well-known Bible story. It introduces children to the idea of listening to God and trusting His guidance. The children loved making their own umbrellas after hearing the line: ‘A man named Noah, such a wise old fella, heard God say “go buy an umbrella!”

We also shared The Big Umbrella, a beautifully illustrated book that reminds us there’s always room for everyone—no one should ever feel left out.

Our sessions gently introduce faith and focus on building strong values like love, inclusion, and kindness.

New families always welcome—come and see what we’re all about.

Today, we read I Love You and God Knows All About Me and explored the beautiful themes of love—being loved and showing love to others. To put that love into action, we made bird feeders to care for our feathered friends!

🌟 What a joyful time we had at our toddler group today! 🌟 We read God Made Me This Way and celebrated how wonderfully God’s creatures are made. The little ones had so much fun crafting their own colorful octopuses—wiggly arms and all! 🐙💕 Seeing their creativity and smiles reminded us of God’s amazing design. Can’t wait for more fun next time!

Marty’s Friends Playgroup starts its Spring Term next Wednesday, 15th January at 10am. We are a small friendly group running from the cosy carpeted Canterbury Rooms behind the church. Parking can be found at Horsley Towers, with a gate from the carpark straight into the church yard. Everyone welcome! We hope to see you soon x
