Still on the iPhone theme ... I have struggled transferring photos from my iPad to pc using a memory stick. I’ve now discovered that I can change the format of my photos to JPEG’s, they take up more room on my storage but I like having my photos as JPEG’s. I am frustrated to be using my iPad instead of my laptop, particularly as I’m not that strong on these and I know that some people are able to type really quickly on them, I’m not one of them 😔

As a total deviation from my normal posts on MS office I want to share how to create text shortcuts on your iPhone or iPad, apologies if this is all old hat to most of you. (I believe on an Android it is to be found under “language and input” but I don’t have one to check it out)

On the iPhone or iPad go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Shortcut Text to create your own text shortcuts

Thanks to everyone who has viewed or liked the page. I’m currently in lockdown in New Zealand after being in South East Asia for most of the last year. Unfortunately I have no working laptop 😢 only my IPad so a different version of MS Office than the standard PC. I will try and post some hints or tips over the next few days. Apologies for the long silence. I have been creating a course in Excel, it is a pretty basic course meant for people who are either new to Excel or are not familiar with creating formulas or calculations, maybe people who only work on workbooks that someone else creates. I will probably be finished at the end of January. If you would be interested in testing it and giving me feedback please let me know, but if you are good at Excel it won't be of any interest.

It is a beautiful day today in South London, hope it is where you are? This is the second of the Word videos on lists. In the previous video I showed you how to create a Style based on a list, the purpose of this video is to show you how to make a custom list, this list isn't assigned to a Style but is simply added to the lists. Well Spring has sprung, at least in this part of the world! As way of a change this video is a Microsoft Word video! A while back someone asked me about creating custom numbered lists, this is the first of the two videos which I prepared.
