A year and a half ago I posted about 2 farriers rasps that I’d like turned into knives, Andrew Bellamy stepped forth and produced these 2 beautiful knives for me, today I met up with Andrew as he was at the meet the makers day Makers Barn to collect them have a bit of a natter.

The green liner knife is going to become the communal camp knife used for camp tasks and cooking for both Linden Outdoorsman and Wild Dads Wellbeing

The second knife is going to be auctioned to raise money for our Charity Community Group Wild Dads Wellbeing. Our group is wholly funded by public donations and we hope the auction of this beautiful piece will raise some funds to go back towards running the group and providing some equipment for our dads to use during our sessions.

More to follow on the auction, we’ve not done one before so need to check the rules and regs.

Following on from my Jungle Craft Course with I purchased the kit needed to practice emergency body belay.

Last night I put into practice the old adage of ‘see one, do one, teach one’ and shared this skill with some of the guys attending this months

Great to see these guys giving it a go especially those who like me were a bit anxious about their first time doing it.

Once again huge shout out to of for teaching me and helping me surpass my fear!
