As ever, our pupils have been awarded many scholarships. Why is this? I think this comes down to several factors:
1) Promoting reading good quality literature:
I have researched many 11 Plus papers to understand the reading level you need for the 11 Plus. I have then personally developed tailored reading lists, all available on my website (advancedthinkingtuition.co.uk), and I have read each book included. We began a new reading scheme last year, and part of our tuition curriculum includes children reading one book from our list every half term and writing a book review. We have a chat about the chosen book, discussing the plot and characters, which is both enjoyable and checks that the child has read the book and fully understands it.
2) Using high-quality workbooks:
If you want a scholarship you need to use a high-quality, proven scheme of work. Our books at Advanced Thinking Tuition were written by qualified teachers with many years of experience and knowledge. They are also available on my website advancedthinkingtuition.co.uk. These can be taught face to face, or you can purchase a PDF for teaching online. They are suitable for 1:1 tuition, group tuition, and for parents to use. This is a 35-week programme over three terms and provides you with all you need for the 11 Plus for English and Maths. They are updated every year and suitable for all schools that require English and Maths.
3) Practice, practice, practice!
We prepare using actual 11 Plus papers from academic schools to ensure that our children are resilient and able to use any format for exams, whilst comfortably working a year beyond the national curriculum. The mark schemes are written in-house and of high quality.

As ever, our pupils have been awarded many scholarships. Why is this? I think it is due to several factors:
1) Promoting reading good quality literature. I researched many 11 Plus papers in order to work out the reading level you need for the 11 Plus. The reading books we suggest are available on my website: advancedthinkingtuition.co.uk. In addition, we began a new reading scheme last year. Part of our tuition curriculum includes children reading one book from our list every half term and writing a book review. We will also have a small chat. I have read every book on the list, and it is a pleasure to discuss the plot and characters. In this way we can check a child has read the book and fully understands it.
2) If you want a scholarship you need to use a high quality, proven scheme of work. Our books at Advanced Thinking Tuition were written by qualified teachers with many years’ experience and knowledge. They are available on my website advancedthinkingtuition.co.uk. 3) We prepare using actual 11 Plus papers from academic schools to ensure that our children are resilient and able to use any format for exams, whilst comfortably working a year beyond the national curriculum. The mark schemes are written in house and of high quality.

Here are recent testimonials.
Narinder:
“When we started our journey looking for an appropriate place for my son to have tuition, we went on several online platforms; however, none felt quite right. We wanted to have a fully rounded experience of tuition, hands-on with face-to-face learning, guided by excellent and caring professionals. Advanced Thinking Tuition is exactly that, they pride themselves in helping young minds flourish and get them to the level that they believe they should with the perfect combination of theory and practical exercises. The resources in particular are superb and my son went from below the national average in English at the time he began tuition in year four to passing several entrance exams for independent schools. I thoroughly recommend Anne and the team at Advanced Thinking Tuition for all your children’s educational needs.”

Sam:
“Our son has been tutored by the Advanced Thinking Tuition team for over 3 years. Throughout this time, he has made so much progress in both English and Maths. The small group lessons have always been so well prepared, engaging, challenging as well as nurturing. We have seen a huge increase in his overall confidence alongside his academic progress. The use of the fantastic, printed workbooks has only enhanced and added to the already excellent lessons.
We can’t thank you enough for all your hard work, guidance and support and are so happy that our son has gained a place at the school of our choice.”

And after the news yesterday please be assured that all our tutors have QTS, around 20 years of teaching experience and fully enhanced DBS. There is a reason we have such a high pass rate for the 11 Plus.

I am writing this testimonial to express my profound gratitude to Advanced Thinking Tuition for the pivotal role they played in my son's academic journey. Thanks to their exceptional tutoring, my son was able to pass the 11+ exam and secure a place at Hampton School, a feat that seemed unattainable given his initial academic levels. It is without hesitation that I attribute his success entirely to the dedication and expertise of his tutor at Advanced Thinking Tuition.
The teachers at Advanced Thinking Tuition are among the best in their field, demonstrating unparalleled knowledge and commitment to teaching at the highest standards. Specializing in the 11+ exams, they have developed innovative techniques specifically designed to engage boys and enhance their comprehension of English—a subject where boys often face challenges. The results of these techniques were nothing short of miraculous for my son, showcasing a significant improvement in his English skills.
Moreover, Anne, the owner of the tutoring company, has gone above and beyond by designing and writing her series of educational books. These books cover all the necessary aspects of the 11+ curriculum and are written in an exceptionally comprehensive manner, tailored to children's understanding. The quality of these materials is unparalleled, and I have yet to find any resource that matches their calibre.
In summary, my experience with Advanced Thinking Tuition has been extraordinary. The transformation in my son's academic abilities is a testament to their effective teaching methods, personalized attention, and high-quality educational materials. I am eternally grateful for their support and would highly recommend their services to any parent seeking to give their child the best possible preparation for the 11+ exams.
