The Magna Carta exhibition has opened its gates today at Palace Green Library.
It is a marvelous opportunity to take a close look at the only surviving copy of 1216 issue of the Magna Carta, one of the most influential legal documents and still basis for the constitutions of several countries.

The exhibition leads you through centuries of war, rebellion and executions - so a fun afternoon is guaranteed!

Palace Green Library - Durham University 1 June - 31 August 2015Marking the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta, this special exhibition will feature the only surviving 1216 issue of the charter.

No doubt you're likely already aware, but you have till Thursday to send your owls for Harry Potter Formal. A copy of the acceptance letter sent to you via e-owl is below. For more details, including tuition payment, see the parchment in your Durham inbox.

College Day is coming up very soon (May 2). Here's what you need to know about tickets:

ENTS ONLY WRISTBANDS AND CHAMPAGNE BREAKFAST TICKETS

Ents wristband : £9 student; £13 adult (including alumni)
Champagne Breakfast ticket - £4
Both - £13 student; £17 adult

Champagne Breakfast includes a glass of champagne and a pastry, and is at 9am outside Joachim Room, just before we go to the cathedral for the annual service.

Ents wristbands allow you into Caedmon Complex (Vern, Caedmon Hall etc) after 6pm, access will not be allowed without a wristband

If you have paid for a meal, your Ents wristband is included in the table price

PAYMENT AND COLLECTION

You can pay for these online from Monday 20 April. If paying by online transfer please put your first initial followed by your surname and ‘CDAY2’ as the payment reference. Eg) I would put the reference ‘SHUNTERCDAY2’

These will be available for collection from Wednesday 22 April - Friday 24 April in the Dining room at College lunch and dinner (you can also pay by cheque or cash in dining room)

Alumni who pay by online transfer please email me at [email protected] to arrange to collect your wristbands/tickets.
