📅 Event Details:

Date: Thursday 25th September 2025.
Time: 9:30am - 4:00pm.
Location: Aspect Capital, Portman Square, Marylebone, London.
Who: Women and non-binary students studying Computer Science or related subjects.
Experience Required: No prior AWS knowledge is needed, but basic programming experience (e.g. in Python or Java) is required for context.
Coffee & pastries, plus lunch will be provided. Laptops available on request.
Unfortunately, travel expenses can’t be covered.

🗓️ Agenda Highlights:

Amazon.com on AWS: Insights into Amazon’s cloud journey and architectural decisions.
Aspect Capital: Introduction to Aspect, what platform engineering involves for us, and what a typical day looks like in our team.
Hands-on Workshops:
AWS 101: Deploy a secure web app from scratch.
Intro to Terraform: Use Infrastructure as Code to deploy a Wordpress app.

Only 14 spaces total and maximum 4 from each uni!

As we slowly approach the end of a busy Epiphany term, come and join us for a relaxing evening of board games, and get to know other students and staff in a casual setting! Food will be provided as usual 💜
