EcoComm will like to thank everyone for their great support this Epiphany term and showing their care for our local environment! We have had some big wins this term that wouldn’t have been possible without you all.

Enjoy your Easter break because third term will see some big projects finally come into fruition now that we have set up the EcoTeam and put EcoChair on the Exec.

Most Importantly, however, enjoy your Easter!

As mentioned at the JCR meeting, there is a planting happening at the botanical gardens (location in image attached) tomorrow, if you want to volunteer and help. Here's the info provided to me, but generally I'd say turn up between 11:30 and 3 in sturdy shoes if you want to help out.

"Botanic Garden, Thursday 7th October 10-3pm
10am: Durham Wildlife Trust (DWT) and DU Grounds Staff meet
10:30-11:30, rotavator in action
11:30-3pm: prepare seedbeds (breaking clods, raking a seedbed etc), and sowing seeds

If you're getting involved make sure you wear sturdy shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty."

Finally, the Eco Handbook is here! Just a few ideas for how to be eco-friendly both in college and in the wider city of Durham. If you have any more ideas, then please dm us!
