DEE CURTIS

It is with heartfelt sympathy that we share the news of the passing of Dee Curtis.

Dee was a truly remarkable lady and someone who was deeply admired throughout Toddington. Her dedication to the community was extraordinary and was recognised with the award of an MBE in 2006.

Over the years, Dee held many roles within our community, including teaching here at St George’s. She also served as a Governor at our school for many years, stepping down only a couple of years ago. Together with Malcolm, Dee regularly led our Collective Worship and delivered Open the Book sessions for the children. They were both at the heart of St George’s Church and an integral part of our school community.

Dee touched the lives of so many of us. The staff hold countless fond memories of her, and for many she has been part of both their professional and personal lives for several years.

We send our deepest condolences to Malcolm and all of Dee’s family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this very sad time.

Dee will be greatly missed, and her kindness, dedication, and service to our community will be remembered with gratitude and affection.

The Staff swim team challange continues and the team are making great progress. We have completed 49 miles out of 88 at the half way point.

Increadibly we are the 5th highest fundraising team in the country, but are still determined to raise more funds for Diabetes UK.

Mrs French received a special VIP award today to celebrate her 30 years service at Toddington St Georges.

4 members of our staff team are aiming to complete the Swim22 Challenge for Diabetes UK. This involves each of us swimming 22 miles in 12 weeks.

Many of our school community live with diabetes or have family members who do. This includes Pupils, Staff and Parents, so hopefully we can raise a few pounds towards making a better future for people living with diabetes.
