An amazing week at National Air & Space Camp (NASC) for cadets and staff of 859 Squadron!

A fantastic opportunity to experience aviation, space, STEM and cyber through hands-on activities, flying experiences and meeting inspiring professionals. From seeing the Red Arrows and RAF Chinook to making new friends and developing new skills, it was an unforgettable experience.

A week full of learning, adventure and inspiration!

A busy Friday for 859sqn and 1145 City of Dunfermline Squadron RAF Air Cadets!

Cadets from both squadrons had the fantastic opportunity to take to the skies during an Air Experience Flying day in the Grob Tutor. These flights provide cadets with a chance to experience flying first-hand, build confidence, and gain a greater understanding of aviation from the cockpit.

Air Experience Flying is one of the many unique opportunities available through the RAF Air Cadets, giving young people the chance to develop new skills, create lasting memories, and inspire future ambitions.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making the day possible and ensuring the cadets had such an enjoyable and memorable experience. We hope everyone had an amazing time, and we look forward to seeing many more cadets take to the skies in the future!

Congratulations to Flight Sergeant Green on being appointed the Lord-Lieutenant's Cadet for Fife!

Recently, the Lord-Lieutenant of Fife visited 859 Squadron to present Flight Sergeant Green with the certificate and badge marking this prestigious appointment.

This is a fantastic achievement, and everyone at 859 Squadron is incredibly proud. It is a well-deserved recognition of Flight Sergeant Green's dedication, commitment, and hard work.

We also wish Flight Sergeant Green safe travels as they represent the RAF Air Cadets on the International Air Cadet Exchange to Germany.
