Little Beehive Roseangle celebrated Zero Waste Week and Recycling Week.🗑️♻️

The children were introduced to sustainability concepts through hands on play and the 5 Rs, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rot.

The children also learnt a lot about recycling; they were able to say what colour of bins they have at home and what goes in them. The children took turns of disposing different kinds of rubbish in our DIY bins, which extended their learning. The children also carried out recycling within the day to day running of the nursery.

At our local library we collected books about recycling and read them together at story time back at nursery and from this activity we learnt more about recycling.

The children also used some of the bits and bobs that would be going in our recycling bin to make new creations, including nameless pictures. Some children created models while others chose to decorate boxes using the old pictures and paintings. They were very creative while cutting and sticking and even talked about the colours and sizes of pieces to attach to the models.

We also took a trip to Riverside Recycling Centre as a part of zero waste week and recycling week where we spoke about how people take lots of different types of rubbish here.

Little Beehive Roseangle took part in National Fitness Day.🤸‍♀️🤸

National Fitness Day raises the importance in helping people lead healthier lifestyles.

Throughout the day, we all took part in various active play activities, including yoga, sticky kids, and football. We also enjoyed a walk to the local park, where we engaged in running games to get our hearts racing. The children played games such as traffic lights, toilet tig, and the jumping bean game to keep moving while testing their listening skills and memory. At the park, the children had a wonderful time playing and developing their gross motor skills and fitness!

Little Beehive Roseangle participated in the Hands Up Scotland Survey, which focused on how our children travel to nursery.

The staff and children discussed their modes of transport, such as walking, cycling, driving, or taking the bus. We gathered this information to compile and submit our results.

Today Little Beehive Roseangle Nursery welcomed Miss Rayna from the Rachel Harris School of Dance, who conducted a ballet session with the children. 🥿

This engaging, interactive, and supportive experience was enjoyed by all the children.🎧

Teddy Bear Day.🧸

Little Beehive Roseangle Nursery celebrated National Teddy Bear Day today, Wednesday 9th September 2026. We marked the occasion by inviting our children to bring their favourite teddy bear or cuddly toy to nursery for a special teddy bear day.
The children and their teddy bears enjoyed a teddy bears picnic, story time and a walk in the local community.🧺📚

Fun was had by all.

Little Beehive Roseangle celebrated International Literacy Day on Tuesday 8th September 2026. This continues to promote wonderful opportunities to introduce our children to the joy of books, language and early communication.📚

The children enjoyed a trip to our local library where they took part in a Bookbug session. The librarian also carried out interactive story by using props and puppets. She even changed her voices to bring the characters to life!🎭

Our children shared the favourite story books and read stories together in a cozy space.

We designed bookmarks which encouraged the children to mark make, using a variety of resources. This supported to practice early writing, explore early mark making and forming shapes.

Last Friday the Pre-School children took an exciting trip to Broughty Ferry on the train!🚂

While in Broughty Ferry the children visited the Castle, went for a play in the park and had a fantastic picnic lunch.🏰🥪

Another exciting trip on our Little Beehive Bus.🐝🚐

The Toddler and Pre-School children have been interested in transport over the past few weeks. They have used the mini bus to go and visit the Unicorn Boat at City Quay and went along to Dundee Airport to see the aeroplanes. 🛩️🛥️

Of course, our safety mascot SIMOA came on the trip with us.

Happy Birthday Little Beehive Roseangle – 1st September 2026!🥳🎂

Little Beehive Roseangle Dundee were delighted to celebrate their 1st birthday.1️⃣

Little Beehive Roseangle is a private nursery located in Dundee’s West End. This catchment area primarily serves families in the West End of Dundee. We work in partnership with Dundee City Council offering high-quality early learning childcare for children aged from birth to five years.

We operate 50 weeks of the year with provision from 8am to 5:30pm.

Little Beehive Roseangle is a safe, secure and inspiring environment delivering a variety of learning opportunities and experiences both indoors and outdoors where children are actively involved in leading their own play and learning.

We have welcomed new children into the Little Beehive Family and each individual child was gently introduced to the environment, and team through smooth transitions alongside their parent/carer and staff team. All visits were adapted according to the individual needs of each child where needed to ensure a positive start to their nursery journey with us.

We still have availability, so please feel free to drop by for a tour and experience our wonderful environment while securing a place with us.
