Yes! I can really relate to this article. Our style of education was very different before, and I honestly wasn’t sure about stepping into the Challenge years with my oldest. She has now completed her second year in the Challenge program and is moving into her third, and I can’t express how much she has matured, grown in confidence, and learned along the way.

Was it always easy? No, but it has absolutely been worthwhile.

Now my youngest will be joining his big sister as he begins Challenge A, because I can now see the beauty of it so clearly, not just academically, but in the growth of character, responsibility, perseverance, and relationships. It will be an evening of vision, purpose, and practical equipping as we explore the vital role Christians can play in shaping education across Scotland.

Whether you are a parent, teacher, student, church leader, community leader, or simply passionate about the next generation and our nation, this evening is for you.

• The biblical, cultural, and practical reasons Christian involvement in education matters
• Clear pathways for believers to serve confidently in education
• Real testimonies from Christians making a difference in education
• The laws and politics shaping Scotland’s education system
• How we can pray together, volunteer, partner, and support this work
• And much more

Education affects every family, every child, every community every kids and youth ministry, and every church in Scotland. The challenges facing young people today are not fringe concerns, they touch every home, every school, every community, and the future of our nation.

This is our time, Scotland.

My last child will be stepping into the Challenge years this August, I’m especially grateful for this part of their learning. The ability to think clearly, ask wise questions, and communicate truth with both courage and humility feels like such an important foundation—not just academically, but for life, relationships, and faith.

As classical students learn logic and practice asking good dialectic questions, they are refining their defense against faulty arguments. But that is not the end! As they learn public speaking and persuasion, they are developing the ability to not only defend, but to carry the truth to others.

Throughout this year, Dundee Classical Community - Licensed Classical Conversations Community has had the joy of welcoming some truly lovely families to our open days. It’s been such a highlight for us.
