International Academics Gather in Dundee for Major Interfaith Conference 🌍🤝

Al-Maktoum College is proud to host the International Network for Interreligious Research and Education (INIRE) Summer School and Conference, bringing together leading scholars, educators and practitioners from around the world to explore the role of religion, ethics and dialogue in driving positive social and economic change.

For the first time in the UK, this prestigious event will welcome experts from Christian, Muslim and Jewish traditions to discuss how faith-based and secular perspectives can contribute to inclusive growth, equitable governance and sustainable community development.

The conference features keynote addresses, research workshops and panel discussions on interfaith activism, economic ethics, policy engagement and the future of dialogue in an increasingly interconnected world.

The keynote speaker, Professor Morris Altman, a leading Behavioural Economist (University of Dundee), presented on: "The Love Factor and Ethical Competitiveness: A Behavioural-Institutional Theory of Productivity."

Dr Abi Abubaker, Principal of Al-Maktoum College, said:

The International Conference on Data Analytics for Sustainability and Engineering Technology (DASET 2026) has concluded successfully — and the numbers tell a powerful story.

· 73% acceptance rate following rigorous peer review
