Having a writing system based on index cards and Zettelkasten is great for many reasons, one of them being that I can leave the laptops behind and yet remain completely functional and immersed.

My paper on on technology and the notion of crypto-futurism has been accepted! I'll be presenting it at the Futures Thinking Inaugural Conference that will take place at the University of Oxford, Wolfson College on 1-3 October 2019. Taking part in this event that will bring together so many different thinkers is truly exciting. More material will follow in due course; meanwhile, here's an abstract of the paper.

And this is, I claim, where writing starts: not with choosing the ‘right’ or ‘most interesting’ concept out of a myriad of other ‘less interesting’ concepts, but with capturing our insights. In other words, instead of jumping right into choosing a topic and following some (undoubtedly effective and very useful) academic writing manuals, it might be worth focusing on what our own insights have to offer first."
