New beginnings, next steps and growing together! Have a look at our new film all about transition. 🎥
Over the last few weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming lots of new children and families through our doors! Also, many of our little ones have taken another big step transitioning into their next room or to P1 as they grow in confidence, independence and ability.
We know that starting nursery, or moving into a new room with new routines, practitioners and surroundings, can feel like a big change for children and their grown-ups!
We strive to ensure every transition is supported at the child’s own pace. We use visits and familiar faces, share information between practitioners, work closely with families and make sure each child has the reassurance, cuddles and encouragement they need while they find their feet.
And because our team know the children so well, transitions aren’t about starting again. Their interests, routines, relationships, learning and individual needs move with them, allowing their next room to build on everything that has come before.
Some children run through the door without looking back. Some need a hand to hold for a little longer. Both are absolutely okay. ❤️
Because whether it’s their very first day at Learn & Grow or their next big step within it, our aim is always the same; for every child to feel safe, secure, known and excited about what comes next.
At Learn & Grow Childcare, we're proud to have been graded Very Good in every area by the Care Inspectorate, including children are supported to achieve; "Children's daily routines and transitions were flexible and responsive to their individual needs and wellbeing. Staff recognised the importance of understanding each child when supporting these changes and worked closely with families to ensure transitions were appropriate and managed well. This helped children settle more easily, promoted reassurance and provided continuity in their care."
✨Our 2027 places for 0-5 year olds are already generating lots of interest. If your little one will be joining nursery in 2027 (or beyond), now is the perfect time to start planning ahead. We have limited current spaces for 0-5 also.
