My Wellbeing Wednesday ladies class💜
Full body workout out with resistance bands, stretches then a lovely 10 minutes of relaxing meditation.
Love these ladies, always pushing themselves and willing to give everything a go. So proud of them x

2 weeks of no training, back to work after the 6 weeks school holidays, then started decorating our living room (not me, hubby) but trying to keep the house tidy as we moved upstairs while he took our walls back to bare brick 🤦🏼‍♀️ anxiety level ⬆️ but it will be worth it.

Back to training next week and some sort of routine again with work, training, and home life.
Need to start putting myself first as iv slipped a little and my own fitness has taken a dip which in turn effects my mental health.

Here's to a new week next week 💜

Let's talk about gym anxiety ~ this was me this morning all set to go to the gym. I haven't set foot inside my gym for about 2 months maybe a bit longer. The whole of my summer holidays from work I have been doing home workouts in my garden using my resistance bands. Getting fresh air, learning to stretch myself more, getting into my yoga and enjoying my meditation. Whilst all of that is fine and keeps my mobile, flexible and is good for my physical and mental health. The down side is I haven't lifted weights like I used to. Iv lost the majority of my strength, yes I'm happy with my overall figure, but iv lost my muscle mass that I was starting to build last year.

I woke up this morning and as much as I wanted to go to the gym I wasn't looking forward to it. I felt nervous and even though I know what I'm doing and have always been confident in the gym (I'm even studying and training to be a professional as I love it) I somehow was dreading walking in. Will I remember how to use the machines properly, will I be able to lift enough weight. Will people judge me for not lifting enough or doing something quite right.

I walked in and the first person I saw was .tbp who greeted me as he has always done. His welcome smile and friendly chat. And straight away I felt like I had not been away. He has always given me good advice especially since I told him I was training to be a PT last year. Being at the right gym for you, surrounded by people who will support you is the best feeling.

I walked out feeling so much better about myself and looking forward to getting back into the swing of things again with my weights. I think i have been so focused on helping others that my own training has taken a slight backseat. I'm ok with that as I know what I need to do. At 39 my body is changing and I'm very aware of that but I will not let it stop me from my goals. 12 months until my big 40 so let's get it!!

Self care morning ✨ a little meditation in the garden before a visit to Mind & Bloom for a full body massage, card reading and energy cleansing. Just what was needed to reset myself. Feeling so relaxed and fresh again 🥰
