It's been an emotional end to the year across our primary schools as they said goodbye to their classes of 2026. We wish our leavers all the best for the future and are excited to welcome all of our new reception pupils in September!

Well done to all the Woodside Primary School and Nursery pupils who took part in the school's first ever clarinet concert earlier this week. It's great to see all of the hard work and practice you've put in coming together at this wonderful concert! 🎶🎵👏

On Tuesday, our wonderful Year 4 children performed our first ever Clarinet concert! They have been having lessons all year from Mrs Kennedy from the DPA. They performed 5 different songs using a variety of notes and we even had four children perform solos! Well done to everyone who performed!

Hales Valley Trust was delighted to host the West Midlands Maths Championship once again at Woodside School.

We had some lovely feedback about the staff and pupils who were involved in the event and as a trust we are proud to celebrate our civic duty in supporting the championship.

We are already looking forward to welcoming the Championship back to Woodside in 2027!

It’s been another exciting week across our Trust Schools!

✨ Year 6 pupils at Lapal and Gig Mill have had their residential trips, filled with fun activities like raft building, a visit from ‘The Animal Man’ and a chance to make unforgettable memories

✨ Hurst Hill has had a new mud kitchen installed, thanks to their wonderful PTA and his Majesty’s Service

✨Year 2’s at Priory have been busy this week, with activities from salad tasting to exploring microhabitats for minibeasts

✨Woodside pupils competed in the Dudley Schools Gymnastics Competition- we want to give them a huge well done on their medals!
