🌈♻️ Rainbows and Brownies Take To Their Community and Litter Pick! ♻️🌈

What an incredible evening with the girls from 2nd Droitwich Rainbows & Brownies last Thursday evening.

The Rainbows completed their community litter pick and what a fantastic job they did. Armed with litter pickers, bags and plenty of enthusiasm, the girls helped make a real difference to their local area for a one hour mission.

The Brownies were equally amazing, spending one and a half hours walking around local shared community spaces, collecting litter and helping to care for the environment. Their determination, teamwork and community spirit were wonderful to see.

Every piece of litter removed helps protect wildlife, improves our local neighbourhoods and shows that even small actions can make a big difference.

A huge thank you to all the girls, leaders and parent volunteers who took part. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. 💙

A quick apology for my disappearing act on social media.

You may have noticed I've been quieter than a crisp packet hiding under a hedge. In fact, I haven't posted about a Little Litter Warriors workshops since St Peter's back in April, and social media has been wondering whether I've accidentally fallen into a recycling bin.

The reality is that family life has been keeping me incredibly busy. I have been juggling my children's GCSEs, A-level exams, heatwave and the sad loss of my mother. As many of you will know, life occasionally decides to throw not just a curveball but the entire cricket pitch at you, and sometimes your time, energy, and headspace need to be focused elsewhere.

The good news is that Little Litter Warriors hasn't stopped. Far from it. I have continued visiting schools, delivering workshops, and leading children's litter picks across Worcestershire. The children have still been out there making a difference, finding everything from the usual crisp packets to the occasional vintage relic from decades gone by.

What has stopped is me finding the time to tell everyone about it online!

So, whilst the social media pages and website may have looked abandoned, the work behind the scenes has very much continued. I have plenty of photos, stories, achievements, and litter-filled adventures to share, and I will be updating the socials in due course.

Thank you for sticking with me while life has been doing what life does best. Normal service will resume shortly... assuming it doesn't have any more surprises planned.

Good luck to all the incredible students beginning their GCSEs, A-levels and university end-of-year exams this month.

Exam season is officially here the moment so many of you have worked towards through revision sessions, coursework, late nights, stress, determination and perseverance.

To every Year 11 student stepping into their GCSE exams: believe in yourself. You are far more capable than you realise. These exams are your opportunity to show everything you have learned and how hard you have worked.

Remember to breathe, take breaks, stay hydrated and be proud of how far you’ve already come. Success isn’t just measured in grades, but in the effort, resilience and commitment you’ve shown along the way.

Wishing every student across the UK the very best of luck for exam season. Now go and shine.

As three of my children take on exams this May and June I know first hand how hard these pressures are on them. Home will be a place of laughter, relaxation and support. Go smash it we are proud parents here.

Fantastic to spend another year with St Peter’s pupils delivering the Little Litter Warriors project as part of the Wychavon anti-litter campaign. Well done to everyone involved another successful year of loving the environment.

🌍 Young Heroes. Big Impact. 💚
In just three days this week, the incredible pupils of St Peter's Droitwich C of E Academy teamed up with Little Litter Warriors to remove an amazing 5,941 pieces of litter from their local community spaces and look what they found.

Their oldest find is from a Cadbury Wispa wrapper. The “16p” price point dates it to the early 1980s, specifically around 1983, when Wispa was launched nationally. In fact, a Wispa costing 16p in 1983 is well documented from its original release period.
