We’re recruiting for our brand-new setting, Apollo Nursery!

Wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do—not only for the children and families we support, but also for the people who work across our settings. We want our team to feel valued, supported and able to enjoy their work, with opportunities to develop and help shape something special from the very beginning.

Apollo Nursery will be a welcoming, thoughtfully designed setting for children aged 6 months to 5 years. Our approach is built around our Pillars of Learning: Wonder, Wellbeing and Wisdom. We believe in real experiences, meaningful relationships and creating an environment where both children and staff can thrive.

We are currently looking for passionate and enthusiastic Valid Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioners or above. We also have an exciting Deputy Nursery Manager position available for an experienced practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their career.

These opportunities would suit people who enjoy working in a calm, nurturing and forward-thinking environment, where their ideas, experience and individuality will be genuinely valued.

Please note that we are not currently recruiting apprentices; however, we hope to offer apprenticeship opportunities in the near future.

Today, we completed our Ofsted registration another exciting step closer to opening Apollo Nursery this September! ✨💙🩶🏛️

Lots of building work is happening behind the scenes, and we are so pleased to announce our first open day:

⏰ 11:00am–1:00pm

We now have limited spaces available for children aged two and under, so we encourage families to register their interest as soon as possible.

We will also be announcing more open days towards the end of August, including a Saturday session to support working families.

At Apollo Nursery, we believe real experiences should be part of everyday nursery life

Not added profit, hidden extras.

That’s why we do not charge a general consumables fee for core experiences such as:
🌿 Forest School-inspired outdoor learning
🌊 Beach School-inspired outdoor learning
🧘 Mind and movement activities
🍞 Baking and cookery
🎨 Creative play
🌱 Outdoor learning
🏃 Everyday sports and movement

These are all part of our Apollo curriculum and something we believe every child should be able to access.

The only routine extra charges are for food choices, such as snacks and lunch. Specialist visits, paid visitors or larger trips may be offered as optional extras, but these will always be clear, separate and opt-in.

The setting will be open from 7:30am until 6:00pm, and families will be able to use their government-funded hours flexibly across the sessions they have booked and utilise the stretch funding approach, with some limited spaces for term-time only places. All subject to availability and the 10-hour daily funding cap set by DofE.

A little glimpse into the vision for our outdoor environments at Apollo Nursery 🏛️

Our outdoor provision is thoughtfully designed around two main free-flow spaces, each created with children’s development, curiosity and wellbeing at the heart.

🌿 One area will focus on hands-on learning and exploration. Encouraging creativity, problem solving and discovery through experiences such as sand play, water play, loose parts, mark making and open-ended opportunities.

👣 The second space is designed especially for our youngest children as they begin taking their first steps and exploring the world around them. This sensory-rich environment will include carefully selected plants and natural resources chosen not only for texture, but also for sound, smell and movement creating a calm and meaningful space to learn through the senses.

Beyond our garden spaces, we are incredibly fortunate to have access to a large playing field, pond area and an inspiring forest school environment, alongside the beautiful natural surroundings around us including the stunning River Dour. 🍃

We cannot wait to bring this vision to life and create an environment where children can truly learn, explore and thrive. ✨

We are pleased to share with both current and prospective families that Apollo Nursery will be open from 7:30am to 6:00pm, offering flexible, high-quality provision all year round.

We accept a range of government funding, including MOD funding, and welcome children from 6 months of age.

As an all-weather setting, we make full use of our outstanding local environment to provide rich, meaningful opportunities for children throughout the year.
