We have kicked off our football season with huge success already!

Our new girls' team competed in the Zone 2 side of the McCarthy cup, and they absolutely smashed it. This was their first time playing together in a match and they won the tournament! The girls went unbeaten in all five of their games, winning 3 and drawing 2. With goals flying in from Matilda, Florence and Daisy and some huge saves from goalkeeper Ava. The girls have now qualified for the McCarthy cup final, where we face the winner of Zone 1. A fantastic achievement already, well done girls! 👏👏👏

We also took some children to compete in a football festival at Dover College last week. Scores weren't officially recorded, but again Whitfield came away unbeaten in all three of their games winning them all! Our goals were scored by Noah, Samuel and Poppy who all scored some fantastic goals 🥰

A great start to the new year of sport and hopefully more to follow!

We are pleased to announce that we have been selected as one of three community projects eligible for Tesco funding, and would like to ask that, whenever you are in Whitfield Tesco, you help us raise much needed funds for food and resources for our breakfast club - please ask for a blue token when you checkout, which you can then post in the box by the entrance/exit:

How the Scheme Works

• Get a Token: Customers are given a blue token by the cashier after paying for their shopping.
• Choose a Cause: Three local schools, charities, or community groups are featured in-store every few months.
• Cast Your Vote: You drop your token into the slot for the project you want to support most.
• Funding Distribution: Every shortlisted group gets a grant, but the number of tokens determines which project receives the highest funding amount

Thanks for your support!
