π₯A fantastic weekend for our 11U County Cup teams!
π Boys crowned County Cup Champions! π
Our boysβ team of Shantanu, Jack, Coby, Storm and Asher, captained by Gary Toop and Rob Booth, produced an outstanding performance in Devon, winning all three matches to take the title.
The weekend began with a convincing 5-1 victory over Cornwall before the boys faced a much tougher challenge against hosts Devon. Showing incredible determination, teamwork and resilience, they battled through some closely contested matches to secure another impressive 5-1 win.
After a great evening spent with players and parents, attention turned to Sundayβs match against Somerset. With the match not going according to plan initially, Dorset found themselves 2-0 down, the team roared back to claim the next four matches and the title of County Cup Championsπ
π Huge congratulations to the team π
π₯ Girls battle hard at East Dorset LTCC π₯
Our girls team - Nuala, Valentina, Elizabeth, Shriya and Sophia, captained by Jon Pankhurst with Sienna Smith - were competing at home venue East Dorset LTCC against strong teams from Berkshire, Hertfordshire and Avon.
A great start to the weekend with a superb 4-2 win over Berkshire β with Dorset 3-1 up going into the doubles before securing the victory with a crucial doubles win.
Next up v Hertfordshire who, with a number of top national players, were tough opposition. The team put in a strong performance with the score at 2-2 going into the doubles. Two hard-fought doubles matches followed - Hertfordshire edged both to claim a 4-2 win.
The final match against Avon was another thriller. With the teams at 3-3 after singles and doubles, the tie was decided by a shootout tie-break which narrowly went Avonβs way. The team finished 4th - a huge well done to the team π
π A massive thank you to all the players for their effort, attitude and sportsmanship throughout the weekend and special thanks to the parents whose support was outstanding from start to finish π
π The County Cup is always a brilliant opportunity for team bonding, development and creating lasting memories, and this weekend was no exception.

π₯πΎ Brilliant weekend for Dorset U14 Boys at County Cup Finals in Nottinghamπ₯πΎ
π₯ A huge effort from the team saw Dorset finish an impressive 6th overall against some of the strongest counties in the country π
πΎ Day 1 started with a tough match against Middlesex. The boys fought hard with Jayden securing a brilliant win at No. 2 singles but Middlesex proved to be too strong and took the win 5-1.
πΎ Next up came an epic showdown with Cheshire β with singles wins for Monty and Jayden, a doubles win for Jayden and Josh, Dorset edged the match in a dramatic shootout tiebreak with Jayden and Ethan producing an impressive 10-1 win πͺ
πΎ Dorset then faced Cambridgeshire in a scoreline that didnβt reflect the hard fought matches. Jayden continued his unbeaten singles run while Ethan and Josh were desperately unlucky to lose tight match tie-break battles. 5-1 Cambridgeshire.
π₯ With the team playing for 5th/6th place on Sunday, up against a strong Yorkshire team, Dorset once again put up a good fight with Jayden winning his singles and Jayden and Monty, doubles. Yorkshire also battled hard and claimed 5th place with a 4-2 win.
π₯ Superb effort from the team all weekend, fantastic tennis and amazing team spirit, huge well done and thanks to all.
π Big thanks to Captains Rob and Gary π

π₯ 10U County Cup Round-Up π₯
π₯ A tough opening match for our boys team on Saturday against strong opponents Surrey. Although the win went to Surrey, the boys showed incredible grit and determination in their battle for second place against Hants & IoW. The match went right down to a tense shootout, with Hants & IoW edging the win 12β10.
π₯ Full of enthusiasm and team spirit, the team returned on Sunday to face Wiltshire. After a series of hard-fought matches, Dorset secured a fantastic 5β1 victory πͺπ
π₯ An amazing weekend of great tennis and camaraderie, enjoyed by all.
π Our girls team enjoyed a brilliant weekend of tennis, competing against some of the toughest counties in the south.
π₯ The team kicked off Saturday playing Kent in the morning, followed by Hants & IoW in the afternoon. Whilst the teamβs positivity and effort levels were amazing, Kent (the eventual winners) and Hants & IoW both took the wins. Big shout out to Savannah for winning her singles in a match tiebreak against Hampshire π
π₯ Still in high spirits, the team entered into Sunday taking on Essex as the final fixture of the weekend. In some super windy conditions the girls battled hard and with smiles all round the girls finished the weekend in 4th place.
Great determination and team spirit throughout the weekend ππͺ
π HUGE well done to all π
πBIG thanks to all the parents/carers for their fantastic support and to our ace captains, Rob and Rob for the boys, Catherine and Stuart for the girls ππ

π₯Our 14U Girls team had an exciting weekend, in County Cup action at Queenswood School, competing for a place in the National Finals πΎ
πͺ The team made a very strong start securing a 4-2 victory over Sussex followed by an impressive 5-1 victory against Hertfordshire, winning all four doubles matches to put themselves in an excellent position heading into the final qualifying round.
πΎ In a tightly contested decider against Nottinghamshire, the team fought hard but just missed out, going down 4-2 overall. The tie came down to the final doubles rubber, where Dorset narrowly lost their only doubles match 11-9 in the championship tie-break, so close to taking the match to a deciding tie-break shootout.
β¨ Despite the narrow defeat, the team showed fantastic spirit and togetherness throughout the competition. The standard of tennis was high, and the girls represented Dorset brilliantly both on and off the court.
π₯ A hugely positive weekend with plenty to be proud of, huge well done to all the players.
πBig thanks to Captains Rich Irwin and Catherine Lawson and to Rob Booth who made the trip on Saturday to support the team.
