🌟 **Introducing BrightTales!** 🌟
I’m really excited to finally start sharing what I’ve been working on — **BrightTales**.
BrightTales is going to be a world full of colourful characters, stories, fun and adventures, but there’s a much bigger reason behind it. 💛
Through Max, Maxine and the other Brightlings, I want to create stories that can help children learn about **autism and neurodiversity** in a way that feels natural, positive and easy to understand.
That might mean showing why a Brightling flaps their hands when they're excited, why someone might communicate differently, find certain sounds overwhelming, need routine, or simply experience the world differently.
I also want BrightTales to help **brothers and sisters of autistic children** understand their sibling a little better — especially younger children who might not yet understand why their brother or sister communicates, plays or reacts differently from them.
The aim isn't to turn every episode into a lesson. They're still going to be fun stories and adventures! Instead, I want understanding and acceptance to be part of the world and its characters.
And this is where **BrightTales and Bright Speak come together.** 🌟
Bright Speak was created to support communication for children who need another way to express themselves. BrightTales gives us another way to build understanding around those differences through characters and stories children can connect with.
There is still a LOT I want to build, and this intro is just the beginning.
