A really big well done to our older Toddlers 1 for being so kind and supportive when our new friends have been settling in and another well done to our new starters for settling in so beautifully. 🌟

One of our core values is changing the world one smile at a time. The new children in babies one are building relationships with the staff by doing fun activities to enable us to get to know eachother.

In Babies 2 our current planning is 'woodland animals and hibernation'. This morning, some woodland animals joined the children during circle time round the campfire!🔥
We named the animals, sang to them, put them back into the tree to hibernate and keep warm, we identified colours and textures and most important of all we all joined in and had a wonderful experience of learning and fun!

To enhance this further, we're going to be making a 'campfire' outside by gathering sticks and seeing what animals we can find out in the nature🌳

💫 Settling in and becoming a confident learner 💫

The first step in our current curriculum is to settle in and become a confident learner, as children can thrive best when they feel comfortable, safe and happy.
The transition into Preschool can be difficult for children, either saying goodbye to the staff in their previous room, or starting nursery - but we are so proud of how brave our new Preschoolers have been and how quickly they are settling in! 💛

In these pictures, we can see children exploring the different resources, and creating new friendships or reuniting with previous friends. The children have begun to get some beautiful bonds with staff members within the room, particularly their key person, and it is very exciting to continue watching these bonds bloom 🌼

🌟💡Did you know that children should be active for at least 180 minutes a day🌟💡

Toddlers 1 have been actively creating their very own obstacle course. Creating an obstacle course helps to build postural control and foot- eye coordination. This stimulates the cerebellum to improve balance and spacial awareness. We worked very hard building our obstacle course and did wonderful turn taking. When we had created the obstacle course we invited Babies 2 to come and have a turn.
