As someone who has worked with children for many years, hearing positive feedback is always lovely.
But when it comes from a parent who has raised and home educated multiple children, and who has spent years working with children herself, it feels especially meaningful.

What started as a little after-school club has now supported hundreds of children and families, and Iโm incredibly grateful for every single one of you who has been part of the journey. ๐

Those of you who know us personally know that bedtime hasnโt always been easy in our house.
Indiana has always had a wonderfully busy little brain and body. Some evenings could take hours of getting up and down, endless questions, wriggling, fidgeting, worries, requests, emotions and frustration (for all of us! ๐
).
That was actually one of the reasons I created Calm Body Magic.
Not because I wanted another sleep product.
Because I wanted something that genuinely helped children who struggle to switch off.
๐ A way to move the busy energy out of their bodies.
๐ A way to calm their nervous systems.
๐ A way to help them feel safe, settled and ready for sleep.
The biggest surprise wasnโt just that Indiana fell asleep by the end of itโฆ
It was the next day.
She woke up calmer.
She was more regulated.
She coped better with little frustrations.
She seemed happier, lighter and more emotionally balanced.
And it reminded me of something so importantโฆ
๐ Sleep isnโt just rest.
Sleep is when little bodies grow.
Sleep is when little brains process.
Sleep is when emotions reset.
Sleep is when the body repairs itself and prepares for tomorrow.
When our children are overtired, everything feels harder.
When they get the sleep they need, we often see the difference in their mood, resilience, concentration and behaviour.
Thatโs why I love this image so much.
Because while our children are sleeping, so much invisible magic is happening inside them. โจ
And thatโs exactly what Calm Body Magic is all about.
Helping busy little minds and bodies find their way back to calm. ๐๐โจ

Last night, 8 wonderful women joined me for an evening of dreaming bigger, challenging limiting beliefs and imagining what life could look like if fear wasnโt in the driving seat. ๐
One question sparked some incredibly powerful conversations:
๐ญ ๐๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ค๐ง๐๐ฐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐งโ๐ญ ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ, ๐ฐ๐ก๐๐ญ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐๐จ?
The answers werenโt about material things.
They were about freedom.
Confidence.
Purpose.
Travel.
Helping others.
Living life on their own terms.
And since the session, the messages Iโve received have been so lovely. ๐
Women telling me theyโve started making decisions.
Women recognising where fear has been holding them back.
Women giving themselves permission to think bigger.
Women taking the first steps towards things theyโve wanted to do for years.
Honestly, itโs been such a privilege to hold that space.
Because whilst the session included visualisation, mindset tools, journalling and reflection, the real magic was watching women realise they are capable of so much more than they give themselves credit for. โจ
Sometimes all it takes is one conversation, one question or one evening to change the direction youโre heading in.

Anyone who knows Indiana knows bedtime has never been easy ๐คช (especially her Nanny Kerry Wood & Grandma Yvonne Cameron)
Weโve tried routines.
Weโve tried charts.
Weโve tried rewards.
Weโve tried magnesium.
Weโve tried all the usual advice.
Nothing has consistently helped her switch off her busy little body and busy little mind.
The last two nights weโve used ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐๐จ๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ ๐ข๐.
We start with the fun movement section where we shake, stretch, wiggle and get all those bedtime wriggles out.
Itโs become a little game and she absolutely loves it. In fact, her favourite part is the โget your wriggles outโ section! ๐
Then we settle down together for the calming body scan and visualisation.
The result?
โจ Asleep in 22 minutes.
โจ Two nights in a row.
โจ No battles.
โจ No lying awake for another hour.
But the bit that shocked me most wasnโt bedtimeโฆ
It was this morning.
Indiana woke up on her own.
She was happy.
She got dressed.
Brushed her teeth.
Practised her phonics sounds.
Got ready for school.
And couldnโt wait to go.
Usually I have to wake her up and sheโs often tired and grumpy because sheโs struggled to switch off the night before.
This morning she looked genuinely rested.
As a mum, thatโs huge.
I created Calm Body Magic because I know so many families are living with busy brains, busy bodies and bedtime struggles.
I honestly hoped it would help.
I just didnโt expect to see such a dramatic difference in my own child.
Before school when I asked, โShall we listen to Calm Body Magic again tonight?โ
Her response was:
โYAY!โ ๐ฅฐ

๐ Today reminded me why I started Positive Vibe Tribe.
A few years ago, I was staying behind after school to run an emotional literacy club for children. It was full, the children loved it, and I could see how much they needed a safe space to talk, create, connect and simply be themselves.
When the opportunity to continue that club disappeared, I couldnโt shake the feeling that it was too important to stop.
So Positive Vibe Tribe was born.
Today, during our Home Ed session, we were exploring emotions through Lego. The plan looked quite different by the end because the children were so engaged in building, talking and sharing their thoughts that I followed their lead.
One child built their feelings brick by brick and confidently told me which emotion they felt most at that moment.
It might sound like a small thing, but for some children, being able to recognise and express how they feel is a huge step.
Those moments are why I do this.
Not the worksheets.
Not the planning.
Not the admin.
The moments when a child feels safe enough to open up, feels proud of themselves, or realises that all feelings are okay.
Sometimes I look around the room and think, โThis all started from one little after-school club.โ
And today, my heart feels very full. ๐โจ
