Wadworth Primary School

Wadworth Primary School Raising Aspirations and Encouraging Excellence Children are at the heart of everything we do. We nurture them to become the very best they can be.

At Wadworth, we are proud to be known as a caring and inclusive school and value the close community feeling of being a one-form entry school. We work hard to instil a sense of pride and respect in that we do. Our dedicated staff provide a safe and nurturing environment in which our children learn, grow and have fun exploring the world around them. We recognise that each one of the children at Wadworth is unique, with their own interests and enthusiasms. Our positive approach builds on the knowledge we have of each child, working closely with their families, to understand and enable each learner to achieve. We focus on providing motivating learning experiences that engage, enthuse and challenge our children, encouraging them to become independent learners, and celebrating their many successes. As I hope you will see throughout the website, I am very proud of the children and staff here at Wadworth. We pride ourselves on high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour, pupil and staff wellbeing, and a wide range of personal & collective achievements.

What an engaging and inspirational assembly this morning with Alfie Watts.

He told the children all about his Tuk Tuk challenge to drive from London to Norway - a total of 3500 miles at 35miles per hour! His journey took 28 days and he arrived in Norway on the 21st June. His slogan "Brighter days are coming" links well to this, as he arrived on the longest day of the year meaning that the sun did not set while he was there!

He also spoke to the children about mental health and resilience and explained his "never give up" attitude, even when things keep going wrong.

The children were exceptional and asked some amazing questions.

A massive "thank you" to Alfie for coming to our school and showing the children (and staff) that anything is possible!
