🎤🎸The children looked amazing as they dressed up for TT Rockstars day!! We had a day of maths-related fun and they rocked their times tables!!! ➗❌

⭐️🙌Well done to our amazing Y6 pupils who approached their SATs with resilience and tenacity - we are so proud of you all! To celebrate a week of super effort and team work (as Year 5 migrated into other classrooms to give Y6 space to work!), Class 3 held a celebratory day with good food, a lot of clay and a sprinkling of outdoor exploration! Well done, Team BPS!! 💙🤩

🎨In art this week, Class 2 have been exploring the beautiful ceramic work of Magdalene Odundo. First, they practised creating sweeping, flowing lines on sugar paper, building confidence in their shapes and movements.

They then took their creativity outside—so we hope you like the patio, as it became our open-air studio for the day! It’s been wonderful to see the children experimenting so thoughtfully and expressing themselves through such elegant, curved designs.🖼️

🌍🌳Happy Earth Day to you all! We marked this special day dedicated to raising awareness of environmental issues by dressing in earthy colours to represent our beautiful and unique planet, and created sculptures and art works from upcycled cardboard and other unwanted household items. We’ve created everything from rainforests to robots and solar farms to space rockets to name but a few! Even BASE Club children joined in to make serene dedications to our home planet. 💙⚽️ Our fearless football team played their first match of 2026 against Misson and their performance was incredible! Their teamwork and respect for all on the pitch was a credit to the school and we are all very proud of them!! Well done!! ⭐️⭐️💙

Class 2 have started an exciting new unit in Art all about sculpture! 🎨

This week, the children explored how to transform 2-D shapes into 3-D forms using cardboard boxes. They challenged themselves to construct their sculptures without using Sellotape or glue, instead fixing their shapes together by bending, rolling, and slotting the cardboard.

It was fantastic to see their creativity and problem-solving skills in action as they experimented with different techniques to make their structures stand strong. We’re looking forward to seeing how their sculpting skills develop over the coming weeks!

☀️🌳It has been lovely to see the children back today, playing with their friends in our beautiful grounds. For those unfamiliar with our fabulous little school, all of this green space is hidden away with our main building at the bottom of The Limes! Our much-loved original building is home to an enormous hard-standing playground, and is the site of our hall and wraparound care provision, BASE Club, offering places from 7.30 am to 6pm, five days a week!

🐇 The Easter Bunny came early today and hid eggs all around school for the children to find!! Thank you to the PTFA for funding this amazing treat for our gorgeous children. We hope you all have the loveliest of holidays!!! 💝

🏅💙 Well done to all the children who entered the Easter egg decorating competition! This year’s theme was book characters and we had some amazing entries and the winners were celebrated for their creativity by the whole school! All those who took part were awarded a chocolate treat and the entries are on display in the library! Thanks to all who supported the children with their creations! ⭐️💙
