Bringing Simulation to You 🩺🎬

What happens when we take simulation out of the simulation centre and into the real clinical environment?

Our in-situ simulation sessions allow us to bring realistic scenarios directly into the workplace, creating an opportunity to challenge not only our learners, but also the systems, processes and environment in which they work.

By simulating in the real clinical setting, we can explore:

🔹 How well our systems work under pressure
🔹 Whether equipment and resources are readily accessible
🔹 How teams communicate and work together
🔹 How the environment impacts patient care
🔹 Where potential risks, barriers or opportunities for improvement may exist

Most importantly, in-situ simulation provides a safe space to identify learning and system improvements before they become real-world problems.

Bringing simulation to you allows us to challenge, learn, reflect and improve… together. 💙

4. 🎭 BEFORE VS AFTER SIMULATION

Before simulation:
“I’m a bit nervous about this…” 😬

After simulation:
“Right… give me the emergency trolley.” 😎

Simulation isn’t about getting everything perfect.
It’s about practising, learning, making mistakes safely and building confidence. ❤️

✨ Three Questions. One Learning Journey. ✨

On today’s simulation course, we asked our learners three simple questions:

💭 How are you feeling about today’s course?
🎯 What do you want to learn?
🌟 What will you take away from today?

These questions help us understand where everyone is starting from, tailor the learning experience, and encourage reflection at the end of the day.

Simulation isn’t just about practising clinical skills—it’s about building confidence, sharing experiences, and leaving with knowledge that can be applied in practice to improve patient care.

What would your answers be? 👇

Proud to be part of We Care Into the Future today! 💙

This fantastic event, led by Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals in partnership with schools, education providers, universities, local authorities and health and social care organisations, is all about inspiring the next generation of the workforce. Together, we’re showcasing the huge variety of careers available across health and care and helping young people discover opportunities they may never have considered. (Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals)

Through hands-on experiences, interactive simulations and conversations with professionals, Year 8 students can explore real career pathways long before they make important decisions about their GCSEs and future education. It’s an opportunity to spark ambition, challenge perceptions and show that it takes hundreds of different roles working together to deliver outstanding care. (Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals)

We’re incredibly proud to play our part in supporting the healthcare workforce of tomorrow. Who knows? Among today’s students could be the future nurses, doctors, ACPs, paramedics, therapists, scientists, engineers, digital specialists and countless others who will shape the future of health and care.

Today we had a fantastic group of learners who arrived ready to give it their all! 💪

After getting to know each other during the introductions, they threw down the challenge and asked us to really push them. Every single one of them wanted to step outside their comfort zone, despite admitting they were feeling nervous.

We have so much respect for that mindset. Growth doesn’t happen by staying comfortable, and today they embraced every challenge head-on.

That’s exactly what our RAMSI course is all about – creating a safe environment where learners can challenge themselves, build confidence, and develop the skills they’ll need when it matters most.

Thank you all for your enthusiasm, honesty, and willingness to learn. We can’t wait to see you put those skills into practice! 👏
