This fantastic event, led by Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals in partnership with schools, education providers, universities, local authorities and health and social care organisations, is all about inspiring the next generation of the workforce. Together, we’re showcasing the huge variety of careers available across health and care and helping young people discover opportunities they may never have considered. Through hands-on experiences, interactive simulations and conversations with professionals, Year 8 students can explore real career pathways long before they make important decisions about their GCSEs and future education. It’s an opportunity to spark ambition, challenge perceptions and show that it takes hundreds of different roles working together to deliver outstanding care. (Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals⁠)

We’re incredibly proud to play our part in supporting the healthcare workforce of tomorrow. Who knows? Among today’s students could be the future nurses, doctors, ACPs, paramedics, therapists, scientists, engineers, digital specialists and countless others who will shape the future of health and care.

Today we had a fantastic group of learners who arrived ready to give it their all! 💪

After getting to know each other during the introductions, they threw down the challenge and asked us to really push them. Every single one of them wanted to step outside their comfort zone, despite admitting they were feeling nervous.

We have so much respect for that mindset. Growth doesn’t happen by staying comfortable, and today they embraced every challenge head-on.

That’s exactly what our RAMSI course is all about – creating a safe environment where learners can challenge themselves, build confidence, and develop the skills they’ll need when it matters most.
