We’ve had a lovely evening at grow your own club, the curry was delicious thanks to Karen, Oscar and Rach for preparing and cooking it. ❤️ Ellie planted her spuds and stuff in her bed too, Sam planted loads of sunflower seeds, Rach and Oscar planted aubergine and nasturtiums and then we started clearing one of the beds to start planting veg in. Sam brought us some Brussel sprout plants….thankyou….which we will plant out on Friday ❤️ Karen watered all the plants in the polytunnel ❤️ Great to see you all, thanks for all your hard work, teamwork makes the dream work ❤️

So tonight Angela and I had the privilege of hosting a hen-do for Michelle at the wellbean and it was amazing! We received such lovely feedback and we are super happy and proud of what we are doing 🌺 We started off making flower crowns followed by herbal teas and a foraging walk. Next we made eco printed silk scarves and lip balms followed by chilli and jacket spuds cooked on the campfire along with salad and added extras they had foraged on the walk. A flower topped cheesecake and strawberries off the allotment for pud, finished off with s’mores round the campfire. A perfect event for anyone who loves nature and wants something different ❤️ Thanks so much to Hev for coming to take photos we will use to promote ourselves for more events 🌺

Today Plantaura CIC was helping out at DGLAM making herb pots and plant tags in their fabulous garden, it was great to see everything growing there.
Then afterwards we took part in the Big Lunch event with other amazing CiCs, we gave out lots of seeds and plants and spoke to people about our upcoming projects and clubs.

Yesterday we welcomed 3 new growers to the Denaby Wellbean Social Garden - Community Allotment , they planted up their salad beds and spud buckets and harvested some lovely wellbean strawberries, Rose one of our volunteers worked like a trooper to clear a patch ready to grow some wedding flowers.
Karen looked after the watering, potting on and seed sowing.
We also had a sink donated from our allotment neighbours who heard we were taking the pots home to wash each day.
we love it that people care about our community x
Thank you, right next job to get a plumber :)

I’ve been in the allotment all afternoon today planting away and cut this beautiful bounty of chamomile flowers ready to dry and make teas with. Chamomile is great for helping with anxiety, soothing the nervous system and promoting sleep and relaxation. It’s also good for digestive issues such as bloating, indigestion, gas and stomach cramps. It tastes delicious, one of my favourite summer flavours ❤️
