Welcome to Kilbride Central Primary School!

Tomorrow (Tuesday 25th August 2026) we look forward to welcoming our new Primary 1 pupils from 9-10.30am. P1 Parents/Guardians are welcome to stay for tea and tissues and a chance to meet fellow P1 parents and guardians whilst your child has time to settle into their new environment (although we won’t be offended if you’re unable to stay!).

We are excited to then welcome P2-7 back to school from Wednesday 26th August. We hope that everyone is rested and ready for the new year. Some of our staff took time to think about what they are most excited about for the year ahead - have a watch below to find out what we are looking forward to the most!

🌻 A sunflower has officially outgrown one of its young gardeners! 🌻

What started as a tiny seed has grown into a towering sunflower, thanks to lots of care, patience and a little sunshine! ☀️

It's wonderful to see our pupils nurturing their plants and watching them flourish over the summer. We love receiving updates like this and can't wait to see how much taller it gets! 🌻💛

P5 had a fantastic day on their trip to the Ulster Museum today!

We started the day with a brilliant workshop called Playing in the Past, where we explored lots of old toys and games – although some of them weren't quite as old as the staff remembered! 😊

After that, we enjoyed exploring the museum's fascinating history and science exhibits. One of our favourite areas was *Discover Nature*, where we got a closer look at insects and other animals. The children were especially intrigued by the chance to smell otter poo – definitely an unforgettable experience!

The children were a credit to our school throughout the day. They were extremely well behaved, enthusiastic and engaged, and most importantly, they all had a wonderful time.

Well done, P5! 👏

Well done to all our Primary 7 pupils. You have been a credit to the school, and we are very proud of all you have achieved.
