Performance and fixture opportunities for any Monday or Wednesday club🤩

Times: 3-4pm
Changing space: Sports Hall

Wednesday 9th of September - will be training for ALL sports to get teams ready for the upcoming fixtures‼️

These clubs are open to ALL and there will be performance and competition opportunities available for those wanting to join any clubs on a Monday or Wednesday… the information for these will be given in club‼️

Time of clubs: 3pm - 4pm
Changing spaces: Sports Hall

Clubs start from Monday 7th of September‼️

WELCOME BACK‼️

Academic Year 2026/27 is starting tomorrow and team PE cannot wait to welcome you back into DHS for a busy and active year of sport and learning!🤩

PE KIT:
Please can we ensure students have accurate and correct PE kit coming into their first lessons. Expectations will be recapped but we want to make sure the transition is smooth and purposeful for our learners to ensure a positive start to the year.

If you are having any issues with PE kit please ensure you are emailing your child’s class teacher and write your child a note explaining so staff know how to help make this a more positive experience.

EXCUSED FROM PE:
If your child needs to be excused from their PE lesson, pupils must still bring in their correct PE Kit with a note as to why they are excused with your signature at the end.
Any questions on this please email your child’s class teacher.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR:
This year after school sport clubs will have a designated member of staff who will be running each club.
This will be announced in a following post with the days the clubs will be hosted.

We can’t wait to welcome you all back and get the sporting year started‼️

TEAM ACHIEVEMENT‼️

We just had to get on social media to announce this BRILLIANT news for our incoming Y11 football team…

The lads travelled down to Manchester with Mr Kay to represent England in the National Coalfields Regeneration Cup 2026 hosted at Manchester City’s training ground🤩

They were exceptional throughout the tournament with both teams again making it to the final meaning they are bringing home the gold and silver this year‼️

Huge shoutout to Travis P who was awarded Player of the Tournament⚽️💪🏼

Congratulations lads, what an achievement… we’ve had word you represented Dinnington with pride and worked incredibly hard to achieve this‼️

Team PE would just like to thank everyone who attended tonight’s Sports Presentation‼️

It was the 1st presentation Team PE have hosted in 10 years, and we definitely brought it back with showcasing some outstanding athletes.

We hope you all had a great time celebrating with each other as we brought the 2025/26 sporting year to a close👏

For now have a brilliant summer, stay safe and keep playing.
Team PE will welcome you back in September for our 2026/27 sporting year which we hope is bigger and better than the one we just had🤩

If your child has been invited, you'll find the invitation and consent form on ParentPay. Please make sure you log in and complete the consent if your child will be attending. Each pupil invited can only bring 1 additional person each.

👔 Dress code: Formal / Smart Casual

Boys Football Achievement‼️

Here is the Y9 football team out at the EFD Football Festival… they got all the way to the semi final before loosing out on the final on penalties‼️

They have been an absolute pleasure to take and was amazing role models, making sure they did DHS proud‼️

Girls Football Achievement‼️
Today 10 of our footballers from across Year 7 to 9 went to play in the EFD Football Festival, placing an amazing 2nd PLACE overall🏆

With 15 goals scored across all games, with majority wins/draws that took them to the final… how incredible‼️

Girls you have smashed it and really shown how DHS girls football do it and team PE are super proud of your efforts today‼️

Our KS3 boys team will be travelling to the same festival Thursday so good luck to you lads, DHS are rooting for you💪🏼

Here’s another familiar face when seeing our students sporting success‼️

Will Durgan (y10) is playing for Team GB in the Ball Hockey World Championship, he’s scored 1 and received man of the match yesterday in his match against Team USA👏
