Come along and meet your young persons personal tutor.

Next Steps Transition evening 4:30-7:00pm
Come along and meet different local organisations and services and find out what options could be next when you leave Fairfield College. We've planned this to coincide with EHCP review season.

More details including organisations that will be in attendance will be released at the start of the new term.

Dilton Marsh pub helps young people gain employment skills

A Dilton Marsh pub is helping young people with additional needs develop skills and gain qualifications to improve their chances of finding employment.

The Weavers, on the High Street, has been developed by the Fairfield Trust as both a pub and training centre, providing hospitality students at Fairfield College with a realistic working environment.

Fairfield Trust CEO Vicky Dunnicliffe said the facility had helped introduce new opportunities for students, including recognised qualifications.

“We’re a pub that is also a training centre for young people, and we’re really, really pleased because over the last couple of years, we’ve introduced various qualifications and different things for the young people to achieve."

Top work Bethany 🙌

Warminster volunteer Bethany has won an award from Fairfield College as Employee of the Year!

Bethany has been working in our Warminster shop every Wednesday for nearly two years now and really enjoys her time with Petra, Jen, Tony and all of our other amazing volunteers. She has since finished her college course and is choosing to stay working in the shop for two days a week for the foreseeable because she loves it so much! Deputy Manager Jen said “We love having her, she always brightens up our day with a smile!”

Yesterday it was our annual summer festival here in Dilton and this year a country and western theme 🤠🥳🤩💃🕺🤠🥳

Thanks to Moore Occasions Event Hire for providing the refreshments throughout the day, Balloons by Cheryl for a fantastic balloon arch and The Wild ones Line Dancing for the dance lesson.

A big thankyou to ID Verde, Wiltshire Council and Eco Edd for visiting this week and donating some new equipment to the college. We have really enjoyed taking part in the Increasing Biodiversity project this year and studying our own college grounds 🦋🐝🐛🐜
