Remember we told you we had some exciting news to share…? 👀✨ Well, we’ve kept you waiting long enough…

THE YOUNG LEADERS ARE TAKING OVER MAKING SPARKS!

Yes, the adults are taking a step back and handing over the reins to our amazing Young Leaders. Although judging by the video, it looks less like we handed anything over and more like we were pushed out… 😂

Behind the scenes, they’ve been working hard to create their very own programme filled with STEM, wellbeing, creativity and plenty of fun and now it’s their turn to lead the way.

And they’re not wasting any time… their first session is THIS SATURDAY!

We’ll be revealing more very soon, but here’s one little clue about what they’ve got planned…it’s going to be MAGIC. ✨

This is their programme.
Their ideas.
Their time to shine.

The Young Leaders have officially taken over… and we can’t wait to see where they take Making Sparks next. ❤️

Emma is incredible. We love working with her as she is great with the young people.

Emma is incredible. We love working with her as she is great with the young people.

💙 This is one of the reasons I love what I do… 💙

When I look at this photo, I don't just see two boys who had fun at iZWiZ Robotics this summer.

I see two children who arrived not knowing each other… and left as friends. 🥰

I know that for some children, walking through the door of a holiday club where they don't know anyone can feel like a really big deal. They might be excited, but also nervous. They might be wondering who they will sit with, who they will talk to, and whether they'll fit in.

And as a teacher, and now as someone who runs iZWiZ, I think that's something that's really important to remember.

Because the robotics, coding, engineering challenges and crazy STEM adventures are only part of what happens here. 🤖🚀

I love watching children find their people.

The child who starts off quietly on their own and gradually joins in.

The two children who discover they both love building robots.

The team who starts off a little awkwardly but ends up cheering each other on.

And then, perhaps my favourite part… seeing them come back another day and hearing:

“Yay! You're here!” 🥹💙

Those little moments mean so much to me.

This summer I've watched so many new friendships form, and it's been wonderful seeing children get excited about coming back because they know their friends will be there too.

I started iZWiZ Robotics because I wanted to give children opportunities to build, code, create, problem-solve and be curious…

…but seeing them build friendships and confidence along the way is a pretty special bonus. 💙

So yes, we make robots.

We code.

We engineer.

We have LOTS of fun.

But we also make memories — and sometimes, friendships that might last a lot longer than the summer holidays. 🥰🤖✨

And honestly, that's one of the things that makes me most proud of iZWiZ.

What a fantastic Saturday at our YBS Party Planners Challenge! 🎈

Our young party planners put their creativity, teamwork and budgeting skills to the test as they worked together to plan the ultimate celebration without overspending.

It was amazing to see so many brilliant ideas and thoughtful decisions, proving that you don’t need a huge budget to create the ultimate party.

It was certainly a hot one too! To help everyone cool down after all their hard work, we treated our Super Sparks to a well earned ice pop at the end of the session.

A huge thank you to Yorkshire Building Society for partnering with us to deliver this engaging financial education workshop and helping inspire the next generation to build confidence with money in a fun and practical way.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Kirklees College Pioneer House for providing such a fantastic space to host the workshop. Your support helped make the day a great success.

Thank you to all the children. We loved seeing everyone’s enthusiasm, creativity and teamwork. We can’t wait to welcome you back to another Making Sparks workshop soon!

What an unforgettable weekend in Cumbria! 🌿🐄

We were incredibly lucky to be invited by to visit , where the wonderful Gemma gave us a fascinating behind the scenes tour of her beautiful farm. From learning all about dairy cows and the milking process to making our own ice cream, the day was packed with hands-on fun and fascinating farming science.

Of course, no trip would be complete without a cheeky KitKat or two especially after discovering where Gemma’s milk ends up!
We also stayed at , where we were welcomed with such warmth, comfort and outstanding hospitality. The site itself was fantastic, with so much to explore and enjoy nearby.

To top it all off, Malcolm guided us on a breathtaking scenic hike through the area, where we discovered the River Eden, historic railway routes, and learned about the region’s rich mining history of iron ore, coal and limestone. His knowledge and passion for the area made the experience even more special.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for such an action-packed, wholesome and memorable weekend we loved every minute of it! 💚
