Year 2 at Modbury Primary School have been busy learning all about money, exploring different coins and notes and discussing how we use them in everyday life. To help bring their learning to life, we set up a classroom shop where the children could buy items using their own money. ๐ฐ
This hands-on activity was a fantastic way for the children to practise recognising coins, understanding their value and using money in real-life situations. They had great fun shopping while developing their maths skills at the same time!

Year 5 at Stokenham Primary School have thoroughly enjoyed their recent art lessons, where they have been exploring set design and model making. Inspired by the work of War Horse set designer Rae Smith, the children used techniques such as perspective and positioning to create their own impressive 3D sets.
Their designs were inspired by our class reader, Crookhaven, particularly the spooky train station scenes! The creativity, attention to detail and imagination shown in their work has been fantastic.

We are incredibly proud of all of our Year 6 children across our four schools for the hard work, resilience and determination they showed during SATs week last week. They approached every test with such maturity and positivity, and gave it their absolute best โ we couldnโt ask for more!
Across the federation, the children enjoyed pancakes, toast and waffles for breakfast each morning to help set them up for the day ahead, and there were lots of celebrations afterwards in all the schools. Some of our brave Year 6s even marked the end of SATs with a dip in the sea! ๐
Well done, Year 6 โ you should all be extremely proud of yourselves!
